Chapter 17

We are in Atlanta right now it's been 5 days since we reunite with Wichita and Little Rock, and because that Pacific Playland is on the way, they are with us until then. They still don't know if they are coming with us up north.

Where the safe haven that Ben talking about, it will be a long way to go because we can't access the road, it's blocked and some roads had thousands of zombies is roaming. So, we are going to take a different route to go up north.

We then stop here in Atlanta to find some supplies, and I think it's gonna take 2-3days before we hit the road again. We need more supplies now because we have a large group, and maybe find some settlement that wants to trade with us.

In this zombie land, we need to trade with other survivors, but we still need to be careful not to bump into bad survivors.

I then see the group getting out of the RV as we are going to plan our next step. I then follow them, as I got out, I stretch my body because it's been sore from the long ride.

Tallahassee: Come here guys, we need to appoint who will get some supplies and who's gonna guard the Cars.

We all nod at what he says,

Tallahassee: So, Westlie, Little Rock, and Augie will be the ones getting gasoline, because we are using two vehicles, and we need more gas.

My group nods at him.

Tallahassee: Next is the group for finding food. It will be, Ben, Carter, and Kendell.

Ben's group nods at him.

Tallahassee: Lastly, Columbus, Wichita, and Denise will be the ones finding something that we can use.

Columbus: What exactly?

Tallahassee: Anything that is usable, it can be a weapon, necessities, etc. the things that you think we need.

Columbus nod at what he says.

Westlie: How, about you Tal? What are you gonna do?

Tallahassee looks at me and said.

Tallahassee: I'll guard the Cars and clear some zombies that are near us.

That's a good idea. So that we can be a little safe staying here for a few days.

Tallahassee: It's already 1 o'clock in the afternoon. So, you guys need to be back before sunset. If you guys are in danger, use the walkies so that the near team can support you. Understand?

We all nod at him and scatter to find what was assigned to us.

~Ben POV~

We must find the nearest market or convenience store near us, we don't want to be far away from where the Cars are.

As we are finding a market, I started a conversation.

Ben: So, what do you think about Westlie's group?

Carter looks at me and said.

Carter: Well, they are cool. They are trustworthy enough, that we can trust them in our lives.

Kendell: Yup, they are good people babe, why?

Ben: I'm just checking, I don't want a situation where we feel weird with one another.

Carter: We are too bro, we need to get along, now that we are going to the same place.

Ben: Yup, but what about the sisters?

Kendell: For a few days that we've been with them, I think that they are trustworthy too, why? Is it because of what they did you Tallahassee and Columbus?

I then nod at what she said.

Ben: No, I know that they are regretting what they did to them and I don't have a say in what they've done. And I think that they can be trusted too.

Carter: it's understandable what they did to Tallahassee and Columbus. They did it to survive, at least they didn't kill them right?

I look at Carter.

Ben: Carter, at first you are against them, but now you are on their side. Is something going on?

Carter laughs at what I said to him.

Carter: You know me, Ben, well, the older sister is hot right?

He smirked at what he said while also elbowing me, and then I look at Kendell who is staring at me, and a stare that was drilling holes in my body. My body shiver and Kendell notice that.

Kendell: Oh, babe did get a cold?

Ben: Maybe? Hehe

I smiled at her and kissed her cheek. We then find a supermarket and go inside it.

~Columbus POV~

We depart after the meeting and started looking for a place where we can find some things that may be beneficial to us, as we are searching, I started a conversation.

Columbus: So, ahm, Wichita?

Wichita looks at me.

Columbus: 'oh god she is beautiful alright. I just wish I can brush her hair

Wichita: Yes?

Columbus: Well, are you guys still going to Pacific Playland?

Wichita: Yup, my little sister really wants to go there one last time.

Columbus: That's really sweet of you. That's outside of Birmingham, right? I went there as a kid too. In fact, this probably counts as an off-season.

Wichita: …..

I look into her eyes and see sadness and worry. Then she started talking,

Wichita: … I know this Pacific Playland thing is nuts.. but it's just been so long since she got to be a kid.

Columbus: Yeah, it's tough growing up in Zombieland.

Wichita: It's tough growing up.

Columbus: 'I really like Wichita. She's not your typical hot, stuck-up b*tch and it's making me want to get to know her more.'

As I was thinking that we found a police station and go inside, maybe we can find something useful.

~Westlie POV~

When I see that the other groups started to act, I look at the two beside me and said.

Westlie: Wait here, I'll go get the jug that we can use to fill it up with gas that we found.

Little Rock: I'll go with you, stay here Augie, we will be right back.

I nod and then we started going where Tallahassee is.

Westlie: Tal, where can we find some jugs that we can use to store the gas that we found?

Tallahassee: Go, to the back of the RV, under the sink you'll see 2 jugs there.

Westlie: Okay.

I then go inside the RV to retrieve the things that we need. As I was searching for it under the sink, heard Little Rock say something.

Little Rock: let me help.

I look at her.

Westlie: Sure.

She then kneels next to me and starts searching.

Little Rock: Oh, there it is.

I look at where she points and see the jugs, as I was about to reach it, I got my face close to Little Rock, she notices it and stays for a second looking at each other eyes, then we back away immediately, I can feel that my face is burning up, I then look at her and she is the same.

Westlie: 'f*ck! I thought we are gonna kiss, I know that I'm just thinking something silly and we are only kids, but kids in the apocalypse mature fast, and my mind and soul are already mature.'

Little Rock: Uhm, are you okay Westlie?

Westlie: Yeah, and you?

Little Rock: I'm okay too, just a bit surprised. It's getting hot in here, I will go outside first, you get the jugs and we can go.

I blush a bit and I can see that she blushed too.

Westlie: 'Why am I blushing at a little girl? F*ck Westlie, you need to straighten yourself, you don't want some F.B.I knocking!'

I then take a deep breath and try to calm myself, I get the jugs and started walking where my team is. I just hope that nothing awkward happens later.

~small time skip~

It's been 5 hours since we are finding some gas and we already fill up one of the two jugs, but as we are searching for more, I see an ambulance car and I can see that it's been modified. I look at the two and said.

Westlie: Hey guys, we should check that ambulance, it's been modified, maybe we can find some gas in that thing.

The two of them look at me and nod affirming that we should check it out. We got close to it and then open the gas cargo I get a rod and check if there is some gas when I see that there is I smiled at the two and said.

Westlie: We hit jackpot, I found some gas and it's a lot.

Augie: That's good Westlie, let me get the gas, you guys can relax a bit, you two been killing some zombie to protect me. it's your time to relax.

Westlie: Thanks Augie.

Little Rock: Don't worry we will protect you.

Augie: I know you do.

Westlie: We gonna check the area first so that we can be safe.

Augie: Okay, just don't go too far away.

He smiled at us and then Little Rock and Me, check the surroundings if there is danger lurking. As we found that we were safe, we started going back to where Augie is.

As we were about to reach him Little Rock immediately push me to hide beside the building. I was shocked and confuse why did she do that? But as I was about to say something, she points in front of us and said.

Little Rock: We got company.

I look at where she is pointing and was shocked at what I see.
