Fairy 34: The Minot Brothers II

After that exchange, Vottes didn't say another word, while she still within Zack's arms. And it wasn't long before they reach a dead end, which happens to be the deepest parts of this cave.

Vottes who still cannot control her wildly chaotic heart. Noticed that Zack has slow down when they reached the dead end. Seeing the dead end, a look of confusion was overwritten on Vottes's face.

Wondering why they had stopped here for. Vottes looked up and was about to ask Zack that question. However, the moment Vottes's pink eyes lays on Zack's face, suddenly felt her cheeks heating up, and her mind also become clouded.

Because of her maiden and inexperienced heart. Vottes became sidetracked, but she soon snapped out of it, when Zack all of the sudden used his Gravity Magic to lift the huge stone bounder before them.

And when the boulder got lift into the air, what lies behind the boulder was a room. It is a naturally formed cave room, with cave flooring, ceiling and even walls made of the cave itself. And the only way out of here, is through the very boulder that Zack has lift with his magic.

Zack walked into the room, along with the confuse Vottes, who looked around the room still being in Zack's arms. At first, Vottes cannot wrap her brain around, why Zack brought them here. However, soon Vottes begin to think of several reasonings why he brought them here.

'Don't tell me… we going to hide here?' If it were normal wizards that after them. It will be a wise idea to execute.

However, this trick isn't going to work with the Minot Brothers. There is no way those professionals wouldn't notice such a simple trick. After all, there wouldn't be called professionals, if they were to fall for such simple stunts like this room behind a boulder.

Doubt could be seen within Vottes's beautiful light pink eyes. But they soon widen, when she realised, that Zack who been carrying her all this time, since their encounter with the Minot Brothers, finally let her down onto the ground. And even lean her back against the cave wall in a gentle manner at that.

She doesn't know how many times she been confused already today. And yet, once again, she looked confusedly at the young man before her. But Zack didn't say anything, and just show his gentle smile, and out of habit, he even reached his hand out, and stroke her ice blue hair.

Vottes's hair, that wasn't been properly washed, was smooth and also rough at the same time. But needless to say, it still felt nice to touch. And this didn't stop the young maiden, who may be used to tricking men, but not used to being touched by them, blushed, and avoided looking into Zack's grassy green eyes.

However, her pink eyes widen a moment later, when her mind got a slight chance to become clearer, Vottes thought of something. And quickly looked at those eyes, that only a moment ago, she dares not to look into them.

"Don't tell me… you are going to face… them, right?" Vottes's face went pale, as Zack didn't deny her words. But instead, stopped stroking her ice blue hair, and turned around.

"Wait here, it shouldn't take too long." Zack simply went while walking towards the exit of this room.

"W-Wait, do you have any idea who they are!? They are not that simple to say, 'it shouldn't take too long'!!" Vottes shouted and warned. However, Zack didn't say anything, and simply walked away.

Seeing he pay no attention to her warning. Vottes without a second thought, tried to get up. However, her wounds, her battled body, made her failed each time she tried. As she bitten her lips even harder, to the point she could taste iron, and her body screamed in pain, from each time she made any kind of careless movement.

Feeling the frustration of not able to do anything, Vottes could only helplessly sit on the ground, and lean her body against the cave's wall. And watched as the boulder finally seal her in this room. She wanted to stop the reckless boy, that unknowingly stolen her heart.

However, with the current state of her body. Vottes sighed, and waited with worry, and pray for him to return back safety.

Moments after Zack sealed Vottes in that room. He walked away where he had hidden Vottes. And made his way to a more opened area. As he made his way into these parts of the cave, he glances at the incoming blur heading his way.

From the blur itself, a flash of light flashes, only to shoot a beam of light towards Zack, who narrowed his eyes before he summoned Nightfall in its greatsword form, only to use its blade body as a shield against the incoming attack.

{Hmm, what kind of attack is this? I give it 2 out of 10, I barely felt anything, what a boring attack.}

Hearing the disappointment in Nightfall's voice. Zack didn't seem to care what his perverted sword is upset about. And remain his focus on the blur, no, Gun Wizard, Ta Minot, who just attacked him right now, and yet again, as he run like the wind itself, and fired off more beams of light towards Zack.

Zack simply moved his body slightly to avoid being hit by those beams of light or block them with his lewd sword. And saw through Ta, who firing off his magical revolver at Zack.

In the first place, Ta who may be fast, may be shooting beams of magical light towards Zack. That are capable of killing A-Class or below wizards. But Ta's goal isn't to kill Zack.

No, this magical gunner's goal is to stall Zack while he waits for the other two brothers of his to come here. And yet, Zack who already seen through his ill intentions didn't care. Why should Zack care, when perfect training dummies are heading his way?

Even if Zack has some experience of fighting humans, but he has nearly none when it comes to fighting humans in groups.

When it comes to Monsters, fair enough, Zack has a lot of experience when fighting them in groups. But humans and monsters are different compared to each other. Monsters act more on instincts, but humans act more on logic, or even scheme compared to normal patterns of monsters' way of fighting.

And Zack's only experience when it comes to fighting humans. Is sparing with Natsu, Gray, Elfman, or Erza at the guild. Or the time when he fought those bandits with Gray and Natsu, and when he fought the leader of them, Lovely, one on one.

Not to mention, fighting bandits and fighting wizards, also two different kinds of fighting as well. That is why, Zack doesn't want to waste this chance, to experience one on three fight with these wizards.

And truth to be told, Zack could easily one defeat them, if he were to use his Quake Magic (Gura Gura no Mi). No, even using his Gravity could easily crushed them as well.

However, it too much of a waste to wasted them right this moment. Which is why Zack only defended Ta's attacks, and carefully watched each and every movement and actions that Ta's makes. So, he could learn his attack patterns and his habits before the main stage arrives.

On the other hand. Ta who been shooting beams of light towards Zack, is beginning to feel frustrated with this kid!

At first, Ta thought he could easily defeat this kid, and wipe the floors with him. And find that light blue haired girl and leave before his brothers come. But that thought soon changed, when he sees how this kid can see through each and every move he made!

And to be honest, this made him feel scared.

When it comes to the Minot Brothers. Each one has their weakness and strengths. And Ta knows physical strength, and strong magic isn't his. After all, his forte is his quick wits, and his quick speed along with his quick usage of magic spells.

Ta's role is to throw the enemy in frustration, making them make countless mistakes. While his little brother, along with his superhuman strength, has the role to tire out their enemy, and even weaken them. And his big brother's role?

As a Sealing Wizard, who specializes in Sealing Magic, his role is to seal or weaken the enemy magic. With the combination of the three roles of frustration, tiring them out, and weakening their magic, made it possible for the Minot Brothers to kill many S-Class Wizards when they together.

And yet! The ironically, that the role of throwing the enemy in frustration seems to be reverse. When Ta's eyes shaken, when he watches the kid's keen eyes, that seems to watch each and every move he makes! Not even most S-Class Wizards are capable of watching his fast-paced movements!

(AN: A quick reminder, Most S-Class Wizards, don't have B rating stats, but normally between D~C in their Physical Stats.)

"You may be fast; however, your speed is only B- Agility. Too bad, that I am two tiers higher." When Zack said that. Ta tilted his head at those strange words, that he doesn't understand, what he meant by being two tiers higher.

Because of that confusion. Zack suddenly made his move, and at an alarming level of speed. Zack rushes like a blur himself right before Tia. And slashes his dark as the blue nights sky sword downwards towards Ta!

Ta, who has good reaction speed, just managed to dodge the greatsword cutting him in half, as he rolled to onto the ground, and even used his Wind Magic to blast himself away from Zack, who just lifts the sword from the ground, where he just slashed it into.

"W-What kind of monster are you!?" Ta went with cold sweat down his back. If he didn't used Wind Magic, without a doubt, a second attack will come and end his life! Ta just cannot believe, not only the kid before him is faster than himself, even his physical strength greater than that idiotic little brother of his!

Ta even beginning to believe, this kid might be a Wizard that uses some kind of strengthening magic, to strengthen himself with.

And yet, Ta has no clue, that it isn't the doing of some kind of strengthening magic, but Zack's pure monstrous strength alone. If he did, without a doubt, Ta will have a heart attack if he knows!
