Mothers Rivalry 1

Maggie acted as though she didn't hear or even see Marissa. She took her seat, picked a muffin and sank her teeth into it while pretending to be amused by the drama on television. She picked up her glass of orange juice from the table and slowly took sips from it while licking and smacking her lips annoyingly.

Maggie didn't bother dropping the television remote on the table. Instead, she held on to it as if it was some sort of treasure.

"Excuse me!" Marissa repeated, hoping that Maggie would do the right thing and apologize for her disrespectful behaviour. But the latter kept ignoring her like she was just a piece of furniture.

Paul who was busy attending to a task heard Marissa's voice and came back to peek.

When he saw that the two mothers were about to confront each other in the sitting room, he speedily ran upstairs to get Leon.
