Till dawn

On hearing the question from Mrs Hendrick, Mikey couldn't help himself but scratch his head to find a perfect answer for her.

"You do know I'm stronger than both of them right?, but I don't just feel like beating them to prevent them from crying, so I stick to my third position while letting them to contest for the first and second" said Mikey.

"I know you definitely would have beaten them and take the first position if you wanted" said Jenny with a smirk presented on her face.

"Keep dreaming Mikey, you won't be beating us any time soon" said Caleb and Kiran.

"Well kids, I would be going to make dinner for us to eat, make yourself at home" said Jenny as she walked to the kitchen.

After about an hour later, the dinning table was already set with everyone currently sitting in their position with Hendrick sitting at the head of the table.

"Mikey, how about you bless the food this time around before we eat" said Hendrick to Mikey which he comply by saying a brief prayer.

"Kiran, how many days are left before your birthday?" asked Caleb.

"It's just five days left" replied Kiran.

"Thank goodness I asked, definitely thought there was still a whole week before it" said Caleb.

"The year do run fast, can't believe it's been up to a year now after we just finished celebrating your fifteen years birthday" said Jenny.

"Kiran have you hear this saying, sixteen is when things usually goes somehow for a boy" said Mikey which causes all of them to laugh.

"What type of a person are you, there is no saying as such" replied Kiran.

After their meal, Mikey and Caleb called their parents to inform them that they would be sleeping over at Kiran place. After some words with Mrs Hendrick they agreed to it without any troubles.

The three of them all walked to Kiran room after making their call, on reaching there, the first thing Mikey pick was the pad to the play station five.

"Get that out of your mind, reading first before playing" said Kiran as he take the pad away from Mikey. "I do promise my mom not to engage myself in any playful activities before reading".

"Jess, are you always a mommy's boy?" asked Mikey while laughing.

"Weren't you the one saying you were having problems with a particular topic?" asked Caleb.

"Wait, hope you guys don't believe that I'm seriously having problems with a topic, I was just playing, God, what type of friends do I have" said Mikey.

"Well then, let's read" said Caleb as he already picked one of Kiran textbook that was on the table.

Mikey and Kiran did the same as they carry two other textbook from the table.

After reading for about an hour and some minutes, they all kept their books with Kiran being the first to drop, followed by Caleb and then Mikey.

Just as they were about to start playing the game, Jenny knocked on the door and walked into the room.

"Just to remind you guys, make sure not to play it till dawn, okay?" said Jenny.

"Mom there isn't school tomorrow, so I don't see any reason why we can't stay till dawn" said Kiran.

"That's a fair point Mrs Hendrick, there is no school tomorrow, which means we can stay till dawn" supported Mikey.

"Oh really, then let's heard from the most sensible one among you three, Caleb what do you say about it, are you in support of it?" asked Jenny while staring him dagger.

Mikey and Kiran quickly turn to look at Caleb, they both know that if he was to agree, then Jenny would let them stay till dawn, but if he was against it, then it will be the other way around.

'Why do I always have to be the last one making decision in this type of things' sighed Caleb. "There isn't school tomorrow, therefore there is no harm in staying till dawn" replied Caleb.

On hearing this words, Mikey and Caleb both jump in joy, the decision has been called to their favour.

"Don't get your hopes up too much, I can still refuse to let you guys stay till dawn, so make sure not to misbehave" said Jenny.

"Thanks Mom" replied Kiran.

"Better don't get offended when I come to wake you guys up in the morning, make sure to sleep if not, you wouldn't be getting ant sleep when I wake you up" said Jenny.

"We won't be offended, we are going to fall asleep half way through so don't worry" replied Mikey.

"Better be, I won't take any pleading in the morning" said Jenny as she turned to walked away.

"Thanks miss Hendrick, you are the best" said both Mikey and Caleb as she walked out of the room.

The whole of the night was spent playing all types of game, any game that has caught the interest of any of them and wasn't in the play station was quickly downloaded.

Up to twelve new games was downloaded in just a day and was also played in the same day, they took turns in playing the games that's meant for just a single player.

When looking at the wall clock, they were all surprised to see that the time was already six, indicating the dawn of a new day.

Although they all planned on staying till dawn, they never knew it would be as so, they quickly rush to the bed to get some sleep before Mrs Hendrick will chase them out.

The after effect of fighting in the monthly competition and staying all night was getting to them as they quickly try to shut their eyes so they can sleep, but before they could, Jenny knocked on the door and chase them out of the room.

After being chase out of the room, they have no other choice than to go get themselves washed, so the feeling of sleep could leave their eyes.
