TO KILL A DEITY

YOHAN let out a sigh when he saw how miserable his father looked while alone in the study and drinking wine by himself.

He saw how his mother looked earlier after leaving the study.

[It was the same look Mom had whenever she fought with Dad in the past.]

"Dad, Mom is only here for a short period of time," Yohan said, then he carefully snatched the wine glass from his father. "Do you seriously want to get drunk instead of spending time with Mom?"

"Your mom hates me now, Yohan."

"Dad, you can't blame Mom for reacting the way she did," Yohan said. "You know you messed up, didn't you?"

His father raised his head. "Do you resent me for being harsh on you, Yohan?"

"No, Dad," he said while shaking his head. "I can't hate for something that I also did. We both resented Yujin unfairly because we blamed her for Mom's death."

He already apologized to Yujin for that, but he knew it wasn't enough.
