Chapter 70

[Ding, a new Title: The Lightning Sparrow Avatar]

[+ No Chi used when generating lightning.]

[+ All Lightning Bending Associated skills have been upgraded]

[+Lightning control: Control the lightning with a move from your hand]

[+New Skill: Duel Avatar State.]

Chen looked at his energy reserves. He could go to the Avatar state and use one of the two guys' power. What was best about this was that he could generate lightning without using his Chi. Let's not forget that Chen can absorb lightning and turn it into pure Chi energy.

'This means that I can sustain my Avatar state so long without worrying that the dragon would go out, or the sparrow.'

Chen closed his eyes temporarily. He saw that the dragon was lying to the sparrow, making up excuses as usual so he wouldn't look back.

He turned his hand and looked at Asami, who just absorbed the spirit that had been lying within the lavabender, whose body now fell into a vegetarian state. Asami opened her hand, and a golden flame was dancing around her hands without harming her. Flying and regenerating were abilities that belonged to the phoenix, whose energy belonged to Asami.

Chen also noticed an interesting detail. The phoenix had the ability to revive a dead man without his soul. '

'This is good. I would have fewer things to worry about when I seal the library.' He felt a heavy burden being lifted.

"Alright, guys." Chen smiled as he turned to everyone. "I and Amon and Tarrlok, with Kuvira will get inside."

Tarrlok, Kuvira, and Amon were people not to trust outside.

If he managed to get these three trapped within the spirit world, the world would be saved.

"What about us?" Korra asked.

Smiling, Chen said. "You are going to wait here for Zaheer and the remaining spirits to come to the library. You are going to guard against the outside. They will come back here, after all."

"Don't worry, with two avatars, nothing will go wrong." Beifong exhaled a sigh and said. "Don't get late, boy. Or you'll get a punishment."

"I won't, mommy." Chen raised his hands and shook his head.

"Nostalgic, isn't it?" Lin said.

"It is." Chen smiled. He then looked at Korra, before looking at Asami, taking his time. He smiled a bit.

"Is there something on my face?" Asami asked.

Korra subconsciously touched her face as well.

"Yes, some sand." Chen teased. He then turned and didn't look at the expression the girls had made.

"You three let's go." Chen then lifted his head, staring at the top of the mini. He flew in the air, and he entered through the window.

As he entered the library, he lowered his head. The space down was almost endless. The library had a very wide space, many floors, and it was so deep. The walls were covered in bookshelves. Chen stared down.

The rest of the three followed him. But unlike him he who could fly, they couldn't. They started free-falling.

Since the three were exceptional benders, probably the strongest in their class, they knew how to handle themselves. Kuvira manipulated her armour and made herself fall on a bookshelf. Since Amon and Tarrlok had neck collars, she could control them. Kuvira pointed her hands at them and clapped, grabbing them next to her. Amon flipped and landed on his feet, while Tarrlok fell and rolled.

"That was quite a fall." Said Tarrlok, standing up and adjusting his hair. He turned to Kuvira and said. "Thank you, woman."

Kuvira nodded slightly. "No need to mention that. Let's just get through this so we can get back to our lives."

"Some people are just too lucky." Amon lifted his head, looked at Chen, and he tightened his gaze.

Seeing that Amon was looking at him for a long time, Chen raised his middle finger.

He wasn't with anyone he'd respect anyway.

Amon raised a middle finger back, and he turned forward.

Chen lowered his head. The waterbender from the order of the Red Lotus was walking toward his group. Her arms seemed to regrow. Around her back, there were many octopus-like arms.

She smirked. "Time for payback. As for Chen, you'll die for killing my darling."

No one acknowledged her.

"Good thing that we have water here." Amon opened his eye widely at her.

The waterbender woman was lifted off the ground. In no time, her neck snapped and cracked.

Tarrlok made no expression. Kuvira, on the other hand, flinched.

"So this is what a bloodbender can do." She looked at Amon.

"Only my brother can do it with such ease," Tarrlok said. "Well, as long as he doesn't give the victim a chance to react."

"Looking forward to working with you in the future," Kuvira said.

Chen raised his eyebrows. She seemed to already have plans for the future, knowing that the world leaders are dead.

Too bad for her that Chen already had future plans for her.

Well, it's not like he would change anything anyway.

Even if he locked Kuvira inside the library with him, another tyrant would raise and conquer the world.

But that would be fine, as long as Korra was there.

"Let's go." Said Chen, descending from the air and landing on his feet. He closed his eyes.

'Guys, can you find the core of the library.' He said, talking to the spirits inside of him.

<<It's easy to find. The bottom of the library, on the left side>>, echoed the dragon's voice in his head.

<<Stop talking like you found out about that, I was the one to tell you>> echoed the lightning sparrow.

'Alright, just don't fight among yourself.'

<<Hold on. Are you going to seal it>> the dragon asked.

'Yes'

<<That means we're going to go back to the spirit world>>

'Right, again.'

<<So this is what meant by I'll have my chance>> the dragon's voice became more chilly.

'You can dream.'

Chen opened his eyes and walked forward. As far as he could sense, there was no Zaheer here.

<<Be careful. The spirit of the sun is here…>>

Chen, all of the sudden, felt a strong heat approaching them. His vision almost went blind as a strong light filled the library.

A golden chimaera between a man and an eagle appeared, spreading its golden wings to the side.

"Greeting humans." Said the spirit. "I'll congratulate you for coming so far. As a reward, I can offer you to keep your lives, provided that you live in the fog of the lost souls."

Chen almost flinched when he remembered the mist where he'd faced his worse fears.

"Guys. Take care of this. I'll go and finish my task." Chen turned to Kuvira and the blood benders.

As far as Chen was concerned, he couldn't kill the spirit of the sun.

These guys could do something; however, they won't be able to kill it. Chen had fought spirits before, and he knew what it takes to defeat one in a spirit world. In the library, Chen felt that the laws of the world had changed.

"Just hurry." Amon extended his hands forward. The spirit of the sun froze in its place. However, Amon couldn't move it from its place.

"You are refusing my gentle offer. Seems that you want me to burn your soul." Said the spirit, moving its limbs slowly.

Kuvira kicked forward, sending a few pieces of metal to the legs of the spirit. Before the metal could make a contact, it melted.

"Thank you." Chen smiled at the group, before walking to the edge of the floor he was at and he looked down. The space below seemed to be endless as Chen could see every floor.

He jumped over, falling down. Just as Chen crossed ten flours, a giant owl appeared and held him by the shoulders, throwing him to the wall. several books started falling.

"Now, look at what you have done to my book collection."
