Genta stood in her usual position in her room at Kusekai, oblivious to the fact that her friends had been fighting for their lives on the other side of the building. Though her instincts told her something was going on, it was a feeling she had always had for a long time: anxiety. So she had learned to go cold to it instead of succumbing to it. So even though her gut told her that something interesting was going on, she paid it no heed, just as she had learned to do effectively over the past few days.
She heard explosive sounds seemingly from the other side of the building, but she paid no heed to them, as this was Kusekai, a land where a lot of strange things could occur at any time. At this point, she had trained her mind to get used to different things than she was used to, so the thought of her friends being behind the slight commotion never occurred to her.
