Chapter 3 Martial artist

"Hey did you see that black hair kid standing near the corner? Why is he talking to himself?".

One of the martial artists who was waiting for the preliminary rounds to start asked another martial artist near him.

"I don't know man. But Be focused you might be paired up with the martial artist from orin Temple. so don't think about others and worry about yourself first." The martial artist replied.

"Yeah, you are right. Hey, are those two kids seriously participating? I hope I was paired up with them. If I have to go up against that giant guy with a moustache. Ughhh. Just thinking about it gave me chills." The other martial artist said.

"No 12 and No 13 please come up to the stage." The staff with glasses was in charge of block that block 1 announced.

"Haaa let's get this over quick," Kai said as he walked towards the stage.

"Do that boy think that this is just a play?" One of the martial artists said.

"I am not even surprised. I heard The organizers even allowed kids in this tournament." the other martial artist agreed.

People that dedicate their entire life to one particular thing will try to nitpick everything that they see if it doesn't fit their ideas and methods.

Especially to new things so even if Kai didn't do anything or show any animosity towards them they will try to ridicule him if given a chance.

Kai knew how normal people react to strange things in this world so he try not to stand out by trying to be unsociable as possible but sometimes not doing anything, in particular, might make you a standout target and that is what is happening to him.

"Now begin." With that announcement, the first preliminary match begins.

The opponent martial artist runs into Kai and tries to take him down but the boy didn't budge.

Although the opponent is bigger and taller than him he was able to resist the assault without any problems.

"I am sorry." He said as he hit the giant man with an overhead smack.

"Ahhhhh." The man screams as he got knocked down to the ground.

"Number 12 Is the winner." The announcer said as Kai got off the stage.

"I hate this. There are many eyes on me." Kai said.

[Well they won't be looking at you if you didn't show off.]

"What do you mean? show off? From the look of it, that guy is really weak. If I play around with him I might critically injure him." Kai said.

[Then injured him. You won't get disqualified as long as he is alive.]

"Yeah. I would love to make friends with him. If only he didn't start to talk to himself out of nowhere."

The martial artist who was watching the fight started to chit-chat after Kai's match.

Kai ignored them as he walked toward other stages to find Yamcha.

"Roga fufu ken." Then a loud noise was heard as Yamcha who now has a different appearance compared to what Kai remembered him stand victorious in front of a defeated body of a martial artist.

"Is that all you got? Well, it looks like I am winning the whole thing if this is all you got." Yamcha said.

"Hey look at how strong this small little kid is."

Then Yamcha heard the voice of a martial artist across from the place where he was fighting.

"Kid? Impossible. Is that who I think it is?" Yamcha asked as a picture of his friend flashed in his mind.

"How am I supposed to know? now get out of the stage the next fight is going to start?" The announcer said to Yamcha.

Who was talking to himself, alone on the stage for a couple of minutes.

"Oh sorry about that," Yamcha said as he got off the stage while apologizing.

"Is that Yamcha? He didn't look like what he did before."Kai said as he looked at the young man.

[Be careful. He got stronger than before. Although he is still not at the low-Superhuman(D) level Yet all of his stats are still superior to you.]

"Even now? I thought I have improved quite a lot. And he is still stronger than me. I guess I have to use that after all." kai replied.

[You know you can get the title Tritagonist if you kill him. Right? So kill him. You don't care about the tournament so at least let me see something cool]

[Getting 1 Stat in ki gives you(+100)Stats on strength so it can easily make you a powerhouse just by possing one stat.]

"And how do I get Ki exactly?"

[Reach level 50 to automatically unlock ki or You can get hit by a ki-based attack to learn it through contact.]
