Hi to my patient readers, sorry for the delay but I just wanna thank you all for giving my book a shot and even adding it to your collection.

Thank you so much for 10k views! To celebrate it, even though I'm quite tired today because I had no day-off this week I'll try to drop a new chapter tonight. Hope you enjoy!

Beomgyu's pov

Three hours has passed since we fled from the hospital using a helicopter waiting at the rooftop.

The supposedly secret plan was made possible because my dad trusts my "fiance" too much.

For sure, those poor nurses are on panic mode and my good for nothing father must be raging even more, since he have lost his puppet once again.

I turned my head to the right and watched the innocent cop across bob his head slightly from the lack of support while dozing off. This should've been a foul for a man who have sworn to protect me.

But to be fair, he managed to sleep in a terrible position despite the noise so I can only imagine how hard he worked.

I extended my curiosity on the person sitting behind him, one of the two whom were piloting the aircraft. All I can see was a fraction of her face, specifically the left cheek being reflected on the window and it's more than enough to confirm it was Cass.

She always tend to impress me in many ways and I hate to admit it. Especially when most of her skills are for bad purposes.

And if only she never pretended as an innocent and dependent girl back then just to boost my confidence, I wouldn't be this mad at her.

I sighed deeply and tried to unbuckle my waist to sit up. The numbness finally lessened but it's still a bit of a struggle to control my lower legs so I doubt I can walk yet.

Fortunately the cop was there to assist me.

"Taehyun we're about to land. Please wake him up so he could stretch his legs."

Huh? First name basis? I thought.

The guy woke up but he was still in a daze for a minute. I waved on his face and he eventually realized he's still with us and his already round eyes widened even more.

"She's telling you to prepare for landing." I told him while tying my hospital robe in place. My bare foot are even paler due to the lower temperature and could definitely hurt if it wasn't numb right now.

"Are you cold?" He asked me nicely and I just nodded. There's no use acting cool anyways. He lend me his jacket and his muscular arms appeared. I instantly regretted it but it was too late. Cass already saw and it's gonna be weird to return even before using so I shrugged my shoulders and avoided looking at her.

We landed safely on the villa's cement rooftop and the heat was all time high. However, it doesn't take away the fact that this island looks like a paradise.

My mom said this place would be mine in due time and I was reluctant at first. Mainly because the image of their controlling nature is too deep into my brain, I always see their offers shady as fuck.

The difference is my mom actually listens and supports my decisions. Not all the time but half the time she always have shielded me from getting hurt by my dad.

"I think it's better for me to carry you downstairs."

I haven't even agreed yet he already hunkered down and waited for me to ride on his back. It was an embarrassing moment but I got no choice and Cass occasionally glancing our way is even worse.

I expected her to tease me in my current situation and exaggerate things but to my surprise, she remained at the rooftop and let us both enter the only access in, which is built from a thick stainless steel.

Even my new personal bodyguard was confused.

"You're not coming along?" He frowned at her when we reached halfway the staircase and noticed she wasn't following.

"Nah. Three's a crowd." She simply said and smirked down at us before shutting the door close.
