Beomgyu's pov
My eyelids snapped open when I heard faint knocking from a distance and the first thing that came to mind was to yell for help.
"Mmmpphhh!!!" That's when I realized my mouth is blocked by a silky smooth handkerchief and Mi Young wasn't sleeping next to me.
Instead, she was talking to someone outside. Or more like shouting.
"You're too annoying! Why do you keep coming at me? Are you preying at me because I'm still underaged? I'm calling my lawyer this instant!" She yelled.
"No need to act like the usual suspect," a husky male voice replied calmly, "we didn't come here to arrest you. We only want to check his room to find clues."
"We thought it's faster if we contacted you for keys since you're technically the owner of this building." Another male voice a bit higher pitched one spoke,"we need more valuable information about the victim and time is running out."
Based on what I overheard the people outside are potentially looking for me. Either they're cops or my father's men, it doesn't matter at this point. I'm that desperate to get out of here before I end up getting crazy and addicted to what Mi Young does to my body.
First I thought pulling my chains back and forth will cause any kind of noise that could attract the people outside, yet they're all cushioned by foams.
Then I started to wiggle my head vigorously, which only made me dizzy.
"We won't take long." The same high-pitched voice echoed before it sounded even further away. I can't let this opportunity pass. If they're gonna enter my room, there's no way they won't hear any noise coming for Mi Young's room since I always hear a lot myself due to the thin walls.
It's now or never. I thought. I had to reach out for the lampshade on the bedside table with all my might and topple it down on the floor since the bedside table won't move at all.
My wrists are throbbing in pain but I have to endure it until it finally fell but to my dismay, the carpet underneath was too thick to make any sound that could bounce on the walls.
Fuuuuucccckkkk! I cursed in frustration before I took a few deep breaths to prepare my body and mentality to flip the bed itself. If that's not gonna change a thing, then I don't have any more idea what is.
I bent myself upwards and scooted sideways to shake the mattress and get rid of it's weight first. The agonizing pain of the flow of time until I succeeded was more than enough to drain my brain but I have to grab the chance or else I might get stuck here forever.
I think I saw angels singing in sync the moment the last inch of it left the wooden bed. It might've caused me a lot of sweat but it's totally worth it.
However, the bed won't budge no matter how hard I pull using all available limbs and hearing those male voices along with their footsteps leaving made my heart sink.
"We've gathered everything we need. Thank you for your cooperation."
"Nooooo!!!" I'm mentally exhausted but it's not like I've got other choice.
"Hllllllppppphhhh!!! I'm rghttt hhhhrrrrr!!!" I yelled continuously while tugging the chains until I heard the car drove off and the farther it goes, the smaller hope I get from escaping this hell.
To be continued…
