ENCHANTED

BACK TO REALITY

I had no idea how I was going to stop his hands from trembling. This was something I expected to happen. I knew he'd be like this when we got back. He was seated and leaning in our palace's bricked wall, suppressing his trembling. I know he's terrified, but being the man that he is, I'm sure he didn't want to reveal how scared he is.

"Mi... Mino," I said softly, approaching his seat. "Please! I am done!" he replied bitterly, his hands quivering while he is hiding it behind his back. I know he's like that because he couldn't handle what occurred previously.

"I'm tired... What else do you want from me?" his sarcastic query to me. I'm at a loss for words since what occurred before will happen again and again as long as he stay in our world.

"Kill me already!" he muttered harshly, looking up at me. I only see anguish, regret, anger, and misery. I just stared at him because there was nothing I could do to make him feel better after what had happened earlier.

I noticed the nearly healed wound on his shoulder. He had been topless since the duel earlier.

We've returned to the forest, where I'd built my own castle. We must conceal ourselves because Mino's identity is no longer a secret. I know he's scared but I'm afraid for my own safety and the safety of my kingdom.

When the other kingdoms were about to attack the unconscious Mino, Uncle used his power to create a large and powerful whirlwind that wrecked the duel's venue. As a result, kings and queens, including Calix, were blown away to distant places. Fortunately, I had built a dome of enormous vines around my mother and Mino to keep them from being swept away.

Mother promptly used her power to create a water portal after that catastrophic tornado so we could get to this castle for shelter as soon as possible. But it wasn't over yet because I was aware of the impending chaos, but most importantly, I was concerned about the mortal who I knew was bewildered and afraid.

He began to tremble in fear, and all I can think about is guilt, but we shouldn't revolve our entire lives here. I have to accept, whether I like it or not, that we both need each other. I need him to live, and he needs me to protect him from our foes.

I dashed away from him, grabbed an upper garment, and returned to his spot. He slumped against the wall, his eyes closed, as if drained.

"Here," I gently offered him the garment, and he opened his eyes, barely picking it up and putting it on. I couldn't stop staring at him when he wore it. He may appear tired, but he is still stunning. I don't know what's wrong with me right now but I want to tell him something.

"I am truly sorry!" I said, sounding like a conquered warrior, and he glanced at me as though he didn't expect my apologies. "Believe me when I say I had no desire to bring you here in the first place," I explained as I sat down in front of him slowly. I'm not sure why, but I can't read his expression.

"All I want is a normal life like you Mino, neither of us wanted to get involved in each other's lives," I spoke gently to him, not knowing what force was pulling me to hold his hands lightly. I could feel the shock in his body, but he let me touch him since he was probably too tired to fight.

"If there's one thing I'm going to change about what's going on, it's when you're linked with me for whatever reason," I added, he begun looking at me intently as if he was wondering why I was saying that.

"I don't like you or your kind, but that's no reason for me to allow you to be harmed!" I choked on what I was saying because I knew I could only keep him and aim to protect him because when he dies, I will also die, but it's not necessary for him to know.

I need to gain his trust now and convince him that I would not abandon him. "I vow to protect you and keep you safe," I made a solemn commitment to him since all I need is his cooperation because I don't want him to die or allow himself to commit suicide. I need him to survive so I can too, literally.

"Then just take me home!" he said coldly after violently removing my hold on his hand. "I can't, Mino, because they'll find you and your family," I replied quickly, and he gave me a bitter grin.

"Do you think I'll be grateful for your pledge to protect me? It's your fault I'm here, so it's your responsibility!" he reasoned. It appears that I am the one who must lower my head to appease him. But I couldn't do anything because it was the truth. It is I who must be humble.

I'm not in the mood anymore, I stood up abruptly in my seat because I was throwing a fit again. "Come!" I yelled angrily, stretching out my hands to ask him to stand, but he cocked an eyebrow at me. I rolled my eyes and didn't hesitate to use my strength to pull him upright and drag him out of the palace as quickly as I could.

"Fuck! You done it again!" he said, clutching his stomach and placing one palm in his mouth, as if puking. Only in this way can I truly exact my vengeance on him. "Don't act like a baby, Mino!" I glance at him, but I can tell he's woozy. While still in that position, he glared at me fiercely. We were standing on the vast lawn outside the palace.

"If you're mad, let's fight!" I declare proudly. He immediately straightened up and raised an eyebrow at me. He's still attractive when he lifts his eyebrows but it's also annoying. I was expecting him to refuse, but it appears that he was also preparing himself.

"Bring it on! I've been wanting to fight with you for a long time!" he says boldly as he steps back to ready for the fight that will follow. When he turned to face me again, I smirked. I desire I could wrestle with this man as well. I waved my hand, and massive roots sprouted from the ground on my both sides. "Na ah, princess! No one will use magic!" he exclaimed.

Fine! No worries. I silently waved my hands again, and the big veins returned to their prior place. If he wants to fight hand to hand, it's ok. He clenched his fists as though ready. And with his speed, he traveled our gap, and I clearly saw him aim for my face, but I simply stepped to the right and evaded his strike. Entrante! Is he furious with my beautiful face?

"That's sloppy!" I muttered to him, but he quickly struck one of his fists closer to me, and I avoided him once more. I grabbed his collar and flung him aggressively, and I immediately saw him forcedly flew away and crash into a huge tree. But he stood confidently, extended his hand, and signaled to it as if he were daring me to take the lead.

I smirked and dashed in front of him, noticing his shock. I didn't make a move, and now he's punching me left and right, which I avoided casually.

I'm not sure why, but while I evaded his punches, I couldn't help but stare into his eyes. I just stared as I continued to back away, avoiding him as he approached, hoping to beat me harder.

Why are you still this mesmerizing? I stared at his lips and his sharp eyes, which were staring at me as he tried to hit me. Those eyes! They're enticing! Why, in this instance, do I seem to adore his eyes?

I stared even more when his eyes began to glow in the color that was definitely becoming my favorite. He surprised me by aiming for my face. Entrante! I'm going to get hit! However, I swiftly caught his fist in front of my face.

I quickly lowered my hand while still holding his fist. I sense his fury, but all I want to see are his enticing eyes. I could stare at those all day! He kept staring at me, but I'm not sure why my lips parted while meeting his gaze. Mino, those blue and glowing eyes, I swear I can see the moonlight in your eyes. They are captivating! I admire you for having such enticing eyes.

I'm not sure what happened, but I found myself rushing towards him and pressing my lips against his while feeling his body stiffen. So this is what it's like to be enchanted, bewitched, and charmed!

"If you can't have him through force and persuading, just make him fall for you," uncle's words suddenly flashed into my mind, which I decided to ignore because I had no intention of doing so, but I believe it's time for me to use my charm. My life is at stake!
