CHAPTER FORTY TWO

It was eight months. The whole central had evolved in eight months. Carl knew his way through the city and that was the only advantage he had over her. She was faster so he had to be smarter. She ran after him. He kept making stops so he had her attention. Meanwhile back in the house, Carla casted a spell with magic to counteract the magic from the hex. She coated the magic on the blade of the dagger. It would keep Beth down while they found a way to cure her of the curse. Carla knew the only way to cure the hex was for Beth to die temporarily. Yale's phone beeped. He pulled it out to see who it was. It was Carl

 "We are heading down now. I hope you're ready!"

He read it and looked at Carla

"Are you ready?" He asked her

"I don't know, not yet. I need a couple of minutes" she said

"We don't have a couple of minutes. Carl is headed down here now" Yale told her 

"I don't have time to create a barrier spell yet!" She said
