Chapter 21: 1 vs 15 FML

Miku hisses as the pain from her wound kicks in and she growls before once again lunging forward but this time as the hobgoblin dodges she uses her tail mid-flight to strike out and pin the hobgoblin through the heart into the wall.

Just then after Miku lands a chorus of screeches and howls could be heard and in a matter of seconds, Miku finds herself not only surrounded but being glared at as if she had just murdered the family pet.

" well this is just perfect," Miku thinks sarcastically before sighing and getting ready for a really tough fight. Luckily for her only 6 are able to reach her as the tunnel although wide can't have more than 3 beings side by side.

Then as if fighting music kicked in at that moment the hobgoblins all start attacking Miku. She quickly jumps up and grips the roof of the cave to dodge most of the swinging clubs which only catches one by surprise as he accidentally smacks his friend which then promptly screeches at him and hits him back while they are distracted Miku quickly lets her instincts guide her.

The first thing she does is quickly wrap her tail around one of the distracted hobgoblins and lifts it off the floor before snapping its neck causing the rest to pay attention again with faint glows of red they try to swing at her but she pumps her legs with mana and like a blur weaves through a few.

Miku gets cut a few times as she does but is able to rip out the neck of one with her teeth and claw into another one's chest her wounds bleeding and melting both blades and the floor. The wounds although bleeding are not very deep due to her hard exoskeleton.

After taking out three of the hobgoblins three more join the fight one has a hammer rather than a sword and he starts to lead some of them in a charge after watching their fellow goblins dying.

The hammer-wielding Hobgoblin glows red slightly and swings at Miku in a rage while the other two hobgoblins try to cut off her escape. Miku seeing the immediate danger drops low and uses her tail to throw the hobgoblin off balance and tackles the nearest goblin then picks it up and throws it into another nearby goblin.

The hobgoblins start to back up slightly to regroup before once again charging in this time all 6 at once. Having already killed five of the 15 hobgoblins Miku found herself slowly grinning as her instincts start to influence her personality. " Haha, what's the matter mad well too bad you ugly green freaks I'm just getting started."

After hissing and screeching at them some of the hobgoblins falter as this is the first verbal aggression that the weird creature in front of them has shown. But are shortly reminded that this is a fight as one of their comrades gets cleaved in two as the creature's claws glow briefly.

They steel themselves once more and attack again in a rage a few more cutting or bashing Miku's exoskeleton which now looks quite worse for wear as there are multiple cuts, dents, and scratches along it. The worst being her forearms as she has been using them to block when she cannot dodge.

The Hobgoblins themselves are not fairing much better with 5 already dead and most of the ones in the front sporting multiple cuts and bruises. Feeling all over Miku slowly starts to slow down and is having a harder time as the fight continues leaps to the roof once more and uses her tail to fend off the goblins before opening her window and selecting heal arms.

Suddenly her arms go limp only staying on the roof due to her claws and she watches and they heal very slowly as a message appears * Warning due to combat healing speed will be slow* Miku just rolls her eyes before focusing on defending herself with her tail and the occasional kick.
