PILGRIM’S TREASURE IV

"This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.

  I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,' says the LORD Almighty.

  'The silver is mine and the gold is mine,' declares the LORD Almighty.

"Here," Brother Philemon handed one torch to Abbot Jeromy. 

Together, while holding the burning torches aloft they descended the stairs. Each of their steps echoed in the empty passageway. The air inside was somehow musty from lack of proper circulation. The stairs did not go downwards in a straight in but circled about as they followed them downwards. When the stairs reached level ground, they found themselves at the entrance of a large chamber that was underground. Brother Philemon felt calling it a vault was an understatement.
