Men dressed in heavily-armored black exosuits stepped out of the hummers and moved in to support Kevin. This time, the Resistance fighters were carrying advanced energy weapons and state-of-the-art tactical combat equipment. 

Shane led from the front, armed with a Magnus KT6 plasma rifle and carrying a HIVE L9 prototype missile launcher on his back. The other members of his team were equipped with automatic laser rifles and submachine guns. 

Kevin backed away from the temporarily disabled Devastator and joined Shane's men. Suzy flew across the sandy terrain and gently landed beside Shane. She was relieved to see Kevin still standing in one piece.
