(In an unknown location)
"Here you go boss", said the man as he shoved someone into the light. The man's head was covered in a black cloth, and his breathing was steady instead of being erratic. The men were confused, but they had done their job.
"Here you go", came a voice and a silver suitcase appeared in the light. The men took it and the man covered in black cloth heard the footsteps receding away from him. He took a deep breath and stabilized himself.
The cloth was removed from his head, and the light immediately made him squint his eyes. A few moments later, a bunch of papers was put in front of him, and he looked at them in horror. His head shot back up into the darkness from where the papers had come from.
"WHO ARE YOU?", he bellowed in rage. The veins in his forehead began to show, and his whole demeanor changed. Because the contents on the paper were something he made sure had been burned away from the face of the Earth.
There was no reply to his question, and the eerie silence within the darkness that surrounded him made him uncomfortable. He looked at the papers and back into the darkness again, and his face was filled with determination to not answer unless he was given one.
Ten minutes had passed, and neither of them had spoken a word to the other. The voice from the darkness decided to interest his question then, and he only uttered a single word.
"Sin Claire"
The man had shudders run through his body the moment he heard the name. The same name that wanted to use their equipment to destroy and create chaos. He clenched his teeth and looked into the place the voice came from.
"Show me your face, you coward. You hide behind a single name. Do you think you can beat me with just that? Hah! Think better, 'cause I am not giving you anything. Unless I get a face with the name", he replied sarcastically.
A goggle was then fitted on his eyes, and the lights began to turn on. There was no one in front of him, and there was only a large container in front of him. Two tubes ran towards both sides, and he looked at them in horror as he muttered a single word.
"The Collider"
The collider was an instrument that was used to collide two high-speed moving particles from opposite directions in the container and obtain results from the blast, which is then used to determine the amount of energy that can be extracted from the said particle.
This collider, in particular, was slightly different. As the electricity needed for it was generated from the rotations per minute in it, and then stored in cells that were built underground. That was when everything clicked for him.
"This was the place where we first tested it out. And only the three of us knew about this place. No one else does. And if I am here, then where are the others? What happened to them?", he asked as he looked at the container.
"Observe"
That was the only word he heard from behind, and he turned his head as much as he could to get a look at who it was. But, all he could see was a shadow. A silhouette of a man with a cigarette in his mouth, and the smoke puffing out.
He watched as the star particles were being rotated at high speeds, and the color f the surface of the rock began to change. At first, it was silver, which then changed into deep purple with white dots all around it.
His eyes widened when he saw the change, and he was observing much more closely. At the right moment, he saw them both collide. The light that they emitted was far more than the experiment they had conducted, and there was a slight vibration within the large container.
He was baffled and was left beyond words. He knew that they were going to use this for something destructive, and the amount of destruction this would cause was something much larger than the ones they had calculated.
"It's 561.794 square kilometers, to be exact. The range of destruction. Now, we need a strengthened container to hold this fragment, and the amount should be no less than thirty-six hours exact."
John, who was kneeling on the ground after the shocking revelation, had his hands shaken and he was wondering how they found a way to double the amount of destructiveness, and to make a container for that was something that even he would need some time to solve.
"I need time", he pleaded. There was no reply from behind, and a disc slid right between his legs, and three screens popped up as a hologram. There were three locations, and the look on his face changed into one of horror once more.
"YOU DARE!", he bellowed in rage again. The places were the schools his kids went to, and each of them had a red laser beam targeted over their back which they were unaware of. He looked down at the paper again, and his brain began to work at hyper speed.
Then the screen went away, and a countdown timer appeared. The time on it was the same time the schools ended, and his determination came back. His kids were in danger and he was the only one who could save them.
He looked at the ceiling which was above and did a silent prayer before he began to work.
"Dear God, if you are watching this, I hope that someone stops these people before the world goes into another war. I wish, for someone to stop this madman. I hope you grant me this wish", he prayed and turned his attention back to the papers that were lying in front of him,
"Hold on tight kids. I will make sure to save you people, and keep you alive", he muttered.
"Cut me off, and give me a pen. I need a bunch of papers to calculate", he said and shuriken flew and accurately cut the binds that he was in. A pen and a bunch of papers that were in a bundle slid from behind him, and he looked at them, indulging in his calculations.
