The Adams -II

The moment Mr Adams went out of the door and this time Victoria did not stop him, she continued to think about what he had said. 

Or rather how brutally he had said it.

Even though all of the things that he had said were right, she never expected someone to say it to her face and take advantage of it.

Yes, she had no family now. The relatives, whoever they were, had not made any contact if the social services had reached out to them. So, she had no family. She had no home and certainly that meant she had nowhere to go except for now an orphanage. 

But did he really have to say it to her? 

Mr Adams did not hesitate to tell her what kind of opportunity he was providing to her. In her lap, he was providing her with a new family. Richer than before, loving than before… Everything she wanted but better.
