An unfinished story! Part-3

{Potter Manor, Untraceable, Somewhere in Ireland}

{09:36 PM, 30th Sept 1991}

Harry somehow managed to enter another staring contest, at least this one was not an awkward one, as the two siblings looked at each other, Ivy was the first to speak up, "Green suits you brother,"

Harry chuckled softly at the irony, but staring at her emerald green eyes glittering in the moonlight, he had to admit, that the eyes he inherited from his mother are beautiful. He once again gazed into the distance and sensed Ivy standing beside him.

"How was it like?" Harry asked, he was a little curious about it, at Ivy's questioning glance Harry continued, "Growing up with a family," Harry cringed inwardly as he realized how spiteful he must have sounded but Ivy just stared at him for a moment before she replied, "Charlus can be annoying, as do Mom and Dad from time to time," Harry watched her as she remembered something annoying as her face scrunched up, "Especially Sirius, he can be a right prat, he and his pranks," her face softened and Harry marveled at the difference between muggle children and magical ones. For whatever reason magical kids grow up a lot faster, they may also seem smarter, or at least they could start speaking clearly before their muggle counterparts.

'another one of those mysteries...'

"I would have loved if you had grown up with us," Ivy continued gathering Harry's attention, "it would have been nice..." she gave Harry a smile, Harry could swear his sister's IQ was really up there, or at least she was mature beyond her years, maybe it was because of the tragedy surrounding her. No matter how much Lily and James would have liked to coddle her, children are quite perceptive. His sister apparently grew up too soon.

"What would you do?" Ivy asked and Harry thought about it, really hard but he still couldn't figure it out, If Lily and James force him to stay and try and connect, then he will be dipping out of the country within the hour. If not then, he would actually like to study magic some more, maybe explore the world trying to figure out some more forms of magic.

Harry guessed that if this bunch of clueless idiots could hide themselves from the muggle world, then there have got to be many more people hiding from the normal public.

"I don't know actually, the only reason I came back to England was to learn more about magic," Harry put his hands up for her to see, he conjured a small glass bead, Ivy stared with fascination at the casual way her brother used magic, it defies whatever notions she had regarding it. The glass bead floated as Harry concentrated, "I first discovered magic when I was 6, I was locked in and it was dark, I had this one book with me, the one upon which I based my name upon, before coming to England, anyway, I wanted to read it and I was trying really hard to see what was written through a small slit in the door through which a ray of light was coming in." the small bead started shining like a ball of light, it was a softer tone so that looking directly wouldn't hurt your eyes.

"How did you become soo good with magic?" Ivy asked, she was staring at the floating ball with wonder. ", because there was no one to tell me what you can and can't do with magic..." Harry paused for a second and decided that there was no need to mention the rest, Ivy was still a kid after all.

"Can I do it if I try?" Ivy asked, Harry, concentrated on the glass ball, he thought of a way to make this charm permanent and maybe give it to Ivy as a gift but he couldn't figure out how to, the only way he could theoretically make it possible was by using runes that absorb ambient mana and thus allow the ball to stay lit.

'I need to seriously start studying runes, and maybe memorize some simple tomes at least, there is no way to know when I might need to make a run for it now that the secret is out.'

Harry had a plan when he accepted the letter as Hector Jackson, he would go in, consume all the publically available knowledge in a year or two and then never go back.

'At least I managed to get a lot of spells, they could serve as a base for any future experimentations but a little bit more time would be better, maybe by the end of the year?' Harry thought, he sensed the whole platoon coming towards them and he knew that it was now time to answer some rather difficult questions.

"Harry," Dumbledore spoke up, Harry nodded at him to continue as he concentrated on the glass bead once more, he focused hard and pushed a lot of mana into the spell, at least the conjuration would stay like that for a week or so. Harry extended the glass bead towards Ivy, who gingerly held onto it before he focused his attention back on the adults.

"Who kidnapped you from the Dursley's?" Dumbledore asked and Harry noticed James fidget.

Harry looked at Charlus and Ivy before saying, "Perhaps we should leave Ivy and Charlus out of this..." he ignored the immediate protests that came from his twin and even Ivy clutched his makeshift robe.

Thankfully James and Lily stepped forward and ushered Tonks to take the two of them away. Harry watched them go, or more specifically he watched his sister go, he and his brother just doesn't mesh in his mind and it was a miracle he even felt remotely comfortable talking to Ivy. Maybe it was her innocence combined with her mature personality that manage to gain his attention.

'Anyway, let's focus on keeping my cover first.'

"How much do you know about HYDRA?"
