Chapter 28 - End of War

Early morning, Caelum busily spent his entire day in trying to advance his rank into the middle rank Foundation Establishment that in turn allowed his control to be higher and avoid being chaotic. To simply explain the importance of reaching the Foundation Establishment stage. 

It is after gathering a sufficient amount of Spiritual Energy in the Body refining which in this case is the Magical energy. Though Qi and Magical Energy are vastly different in nature, Caelum only uses it as a substitute and the reason why his cultivation was incredibly slow.

Magical energy may be malleable but it is all grounded by the world while Qi is beyond earthly plane. Regardless of the result the Cultivator then works to cycle that spiritual energy through their entire body, in doing so the spiritual energy washes the body clean and refines it so that it becomes more suited for cultivation. This is what is called "forming/building a foundation" or the Foundation Establishment Stage.

Caelum would not easily cause disruption considering his foundation would be unmovable once he breakthroughs the spirit sea stage. He deeply concentrated breathing in an enlightened manner that the energy in the surrounding began to churned and condensed into his Mana core.

His fleshly body tore itself breaking his bones and destroyed his internal organs that made Caelum grit his teeth feeling the sensation but came to himself conscious. It was important for him to stay awake and focus or the damage would be irreplaceable.

Caelum's body suddenly heard a cracking sound then an immense wave of energy escaped his body causing a beacon in the sky but he had made a barrier in case his breakthrough was too much. The energy circulated through his body without any restriction and opened his eyes delighted that his senses had reached a considerable amount of distances. 

He cast a simple spell forming a lighting rod that instant blasted to the intended target without much effort. Caelum smiled having grown to where he could vaguely see the energy around him without a problem and convert the energy into the energy he has. 

Caelum stood up from the ground and stretched his arms and legs. He sighed in satisfaction of being able to stand up and not remain in a sitting position anymore.

He went out and punched the air repeatedly as his body felt lightness and the amazing transformation his body has gone through. Caelum punched, kicked, jumped and did any possible move that could come to mind. The aftershock of his piece decimated his training ground from the sheer force his attack produced. 

He is not yet satisfied and aims to visit the Heart kingdom alone with everyone to study their True Magic Mana Methods. After the gain, what he went for would immediately head to the spade kingdom and slaughter them.

Caelum would have inquired about the Ultimate Mana method from the elves but that was until he could trust them. He'll just let the story flow then save the day which would give Secre and the rest of the elf some clarity.

His only aim was to grow stronger and not save everyone else. He follows his own rule and could care less what they think. Caelum sounded twisted but in the end he only aimed for his benefit and those who were important to him.

Caelum checked his Mana Core and found how the white had started to change in color, making him ponder if this was the Aether Core. He could vaguely see that it had a golden hue to and guess it was completely different than the beginning after the end. 

He stopped checking and headed back to watch the incoming tournament in regards to the royal knight selection. Caelum won't participate since he wasn't allowed to be in it even if he disguises himself. 

Caelum arrived while munching down on an apple looking at the people gathered. He was with his underlings and lovers, as they waited for The Wizard King to finish his explanation about the upcoming tournament. After the king gave a brief explanation the Wizard King gave the rooster everyone head to the arena where a large space was given to have some fun.

He sat down while watching Noelle and Mimosa who fought hard defeating their enemies swiftly after being trained by Caelum. He entertained himself by eating more apples that were rather sour but didn't care and kept muching. 

He continued to watch the other battle, Noelle summoning a dragon-shaped water spell, defeating her brother. Caelum laughed his ass off seeing the cocky bastard being instantly defeated by his sister. He kept eating his snack when his eyes cracked open when Langris started running wild. 

"That's an overkill, kid. Don't move."

Instantly everyone was shocked to see Caelum disappear from his chair and arrive to stop Langris. Asta, Magna and Luck were also ready to kill him.

"You insect."

Caelum heard his words that made him recall unpleasant memories of his past. His narrowed gaze revealing his golden eyes that made Langris shudder in fear, his instinct was telling him not to antagonist him yet his mind was filled with inferiority that he flared his magical energy even further. 

"Why don't we have a little battle, to see how much you can hold into your superiority complex? Hey Julius can ya make me fight him."

The Wizard King reluctantly agreed as they moved to a different area. Caelum was given an option to have team but declined that only in rage langris even further for being underestimate.

"Are you certain that you'll defeat me scum!"

"It'll be fine. After all…."

Caelum enjoyed saying gojo words considering how appropriate the phrase was before his opponent who produced countless spatial bubbles in hopes to destroy the stone behind him. His mind was filled with hatred that Caelum could see the shadow of it. 

"You're weak."

He flared his magical energy, having formed completely different than his old ones. Langris showed his attack towards Caelum who hadn't moved and was confident that he had won only to see his attack had been shifted.

"What!?"

Everyone was baffled when Langris got closer only to be sent back to where he came from and unable to land an attack on Caelum who has his hand behind his back smirking in delight. This cause all of the people's presence on what truly his power was. 

"Come on, we don't have all day."

Langris became desperate and gave out an omnidirectional attack in hope of defeating him yet only met Caelum yawning from boredom. He couldn't accept the reality that someone had surpassed him and kept on fighting.

"Is this all of you have? How boring. Alright let's end this."

Caelum vanishes in the blink of an eye and knocks Langris out while crushing the stone showing that he had won the fight. They announced the winner and fixed the aftermath while the wizard king nodded at his action. Julius was a good man but was unfortunate to have demons within his body. He'll save him once his plan is finished and finally head back home. 

Everyone returned to their base to prepare for the upcoming raid. Caelum had remained in his headquarters and concentrated on trying to evolve his [ Dragon ] bloodline that kept refusing to cooperate and couldn't fully grasp his might. 

He had reached a bottleneck that forced him to concentrate in trying to fully absorb the bloodline. There are many factors that were important in order to acquire the strength of what a real dragon is. Caelum then felt the surge of magical energy and smiled finding out that it had started. 

Caelum already made sure those who are important to him and related would be safe. He sped up saving those civilians until the devil's presence came in, then he'll find Secre to summon the wizard kingdom. His busily created ways to protect the citizens until he stood on top of it all then felt something perch in his head.

"Bring me to the Demon Skull."

He acted surprised when Secre spoke but told him that they don't have time and cooperated by transforming into his Lightning God form then using [ Shundō ] to move at unbelievable speed. Secre was extremely quiet at the ordeal and finally arrived where the wizard king statue was. They place the magic stone that freed the wizard king while Secre was transforming into her human form.

"You don't look surprised?"

"No, the first time we've met I sense that you weren't a normal Anti-magic bird."

"Is this a friend of yours, Secre?"

"Enough talking. We are wasting too much time."

All of them headed towards the center of the battlefield toward the enemy base where the devil was located and watched as Asta and Yuno tried to fight it. 

{Kukukuku if it isn't the people who had foiled my plan long ago!? Today I won't let the same thing happened. }

Liar and Patri's were in rage looking at the devil with their heart burning with hatred that they had been tricked by a devil. Their lives were treated like they were puppets in the palm of his hand. The devil tried to cast a spell by uttering a word but his eyes widened as his body was dissected into pieces.

{RETURN! How are you able to do that!?" Spears! Blades! Fire!}

The devil summoned dozens of spells blasting everything towards Caelum but they swiftly evaded them before countering by sending a barrage of ice shards that exploded upon impact turning those close back into ice.. The devil teleported as Caelum appeared behind him trying to slash his head, he was able to use his word magic to evade.

The other assured him by attacking only for their attack to have no effect leaving only Caelum who witnessed their chances were slim took it more seriously and brought out his [ Tempest Blade ] before striking the devil that sent it flying several miles away from the kingdom. Caelum didn't waste any moment and used [ Koku Shundō ] to arrive where the devil was.

He brought it out where they were far from civilization and allowed him to not hold back by one bit.

{W-what!? How can a human be this strong!? You're not human, what are you!?}

Fear was evident within the tone of the devil that was hidden by hatred and anger that a human was pushing him back and once again ruined his fun. 

"Why should I tell a pest approaching death?"

Caelum narrowed his case producing a countless ice shard that pointed towards the devil who felt fear for the first time towards a human. He used [shundo] and instantly appeared in front of the devil, then moved his blade swiftly. The devil itself couldn't scream as his body was sliced into million pieces and tried to heal itself only for his body to turn into ice then shatter into nothingness. 

The aftermath had resulted in a small ravine to form from Caelum sword swings since he had not held back using his strength. Caelum used his shadow to devour the devil.

[You have acquired Word magic!]

[ Demon Bloodline had been unlocked ]

[ Demonic energy is added ]

[ Racial skill had been added ]

Caelum grinned from what he obtained and went back to the clove kingdom noticing that the reincarnation was now slowly fading and everything had gone smoothly. He had been left where Secre was saying her farewell with the first wizard king. 

"I hope you will take care of her for me. She deserves a life of peace."

Secre cried seeing her friend finally able to rest while Caelum was surprised when she hugged him then turned toward the first wizard king and nodded.

"I promised."

The next few days, everyone was under recovery and we're highly vulnerable against neighboring countries. Secre had been forced to be on trial but Caelum came in along with the black bulls to save her and long story short. 

"So this is the Heart kingdom."
