Chapter 49

You guys might be wondering that I am cooking right now, right? No!! I am taking a break. Because I am done with cooking.

I made a feast that I will reveal later. But taking a break is essential. I was using body strengthening. Nowadays, I am always using it. It happens unintentionally. Like I am subconsciously using it all the time.

So I didn't feel tired. But System told me relax my body a bit. I may not feel it but fatigue will build if I don't relax. I need to give my body some time to recover. Using body strengthening is like doping.

Effective until it becomes addiction. I slump down on the sofa again. It's still 7 in the morning. Hazel has been gone for about an hour and half. Fay and Eden are sleeping in my parents's room.

All the dishes are ready. Now waiting for Hazel to come back with fish and honey. It's not like I didn't have fish and honey but I wanted more.

I think about everything. However, I feel a dissonance. Is it me or is my body become hotter? My vision is becoming blurry. My head is fuzzy.

"What's happening to me?"

I see. I have a fever. What to do? I am already lying down. So might as well fall asleep.

Where am I? I am somewhere. But I don't know where. Is it again like that? A dream. Maybe. But where am I?

I look around. A dark space. I try to move my hand. But again, it doesn't feel like my body is here. I don't have a body here.

But I can't stay here. So I try to move around. I feel that I am floating around. And suddenly I see light. Let's head there. After getting out of the light I see a flower garden.

A flower garden. And a house. A house with a flower garden. I look behind and see a collapsed cave. So I came out from there. The sky is blue and it's sunny.

The flowers are beautiful. They are waving due to the air. And I can hear kids playing. Let's check out the house first.

A normal house. Is it a log cabin? It didn't look like one from afar but it is a log cabin. I see someone. A woman. Kinda elderly, maybe middle aged. Brown hair and brown ears and tail. Like a dog...…..isn't that Hazel?

I take a closer look. It is Hazel. An older version of Hazel. What is she doing?

"Grandma….." The playing kids came running to her. So they are her grandchildren. I see.

But then, who is her husband? It's not me and I can tell.

"Honey," I see a man coming to the house. A good looking man. Same height as me but his facial features are as good as those Rangers.

Sorry but due to the author being too poor and ignorant, he never gave us an illustration. I still don't have a face. Anyway, from the looks of it, he knows Hazel.

"Grandma, grandpa is back." The kids tell her.

So he is her husband. I see. Well, I can't complain if she is happy. Now then, let's look for more people. Another one I am looking for is Eden.

What happened to my girl? But the answer was right there from the beginning. Why didn't I notice it sooner?

Among the kids, there's a girl. Same as Eden with black bear ears. And Eden herself appears. She looks grown up. And maybe she is pregnant.

So Hazel got married to that man and had kids. Now she has grandkids as well. Eden is also married and pregnant with at least another child.

The outcome is nice. I am happy that they are happy. But where the hell am I?

Am I dead or did I part ways with them? I go inside the log cabin.

It looks smaller from the outside but it's huge. How? Then I saw something. The spirit gun is hanging on the wall. Along with aegis. Did I leave them?

Anyway, where is this? But that answer came soon too. A horse drawn carriage. A beautifully decorated carriage came to this place. From there came a woman.

Beautiful blonde hair like shimmering gold. A well defined and dignified face. It shows that she has gone through many things. But her regal aura is definitely telling me that she is the queen.

I think that's Fay. I see. Everyone has grown up. Am I dead? Do they even remember me?

"Hello, Hazel." (Fay)

"If it isn't her highness the queen. What can I do for you today?" (Hazel)

"Don't sound so distant. I came here to visit you today." (Fay)

"I see. Come in." (Hazel)

So they are good friends or not. But this mysterious place is kinda weird but also pleasant.

I go inside too to listen to their conversation.

"How many years has it been since we came here?" (Fay)

"About 25 years. Maybe a bit more or less." (Hazel)

"But how did we come here?" (Fay)

"Is it about that again?" (Hazel)

"Don't ignore it. We have been here for all these years. I became the queen and you got married. Eden grew up and now she is married. But how did we come here? The last thing I remember was being stranded." (Fay)

"That makes two of us. But I couldn't care less. I am married to the man I love. I have kids and grandkids. You became the queen and ascended the throne. And Eden grew up and got married to the man she loves. Everything is fine." (Hazel)

"But I had a dream last night. About a man. A black haired and good natured man. He saved us and brought us here. We spent a lot of time together but then he vanished." (Fay)

"I don't think I have met someone with black hair aside from Eden. So that's just a dream." (Hazel)

"Maybe you are right!" (Fay)

They smiled at each other. They have nice chemistry between them.

But they haven't met me or they don't remember me. What is it?

I should go back to the cave where I came. I leave them and go back. The collapsed cave is completely covered. Dark and cold. But I think I know what it is.

I keep going in and in and arrive at an open space.

A cross. A metallic cross where many wires are present. And me. I am crucified on that cross with wires connected to me.

So I have become a battery. I don't know if this is just a dream or a glimpse of future but I couldn't care less.

If I achieve peace, even death is peaceful. And the ones I care about are happy so it's all good.

And I think I should wake up.
