13: Healing the Forest

"I come in peace." Darius stepped forward unafraid, the large Grass Pokemon were drinking the pure crystalline waters of the lake where the Mega Gyarados lived, and now, from up close he can see their injuries. The Turtwigs looked really fine. Some of the Grotles looked a little worse for wear, but the Torterras? They were fucked. Darius could see the leader was missing an eye, and that was fucking bad because they could get an infection, and worse! They had these patches of purple on their body, meaning they were poisoned.

The moment he appeared before them, the few not hurt Grotles moved forward aggressively, as if afraid. He could see their bodies shaking, and although they were physically fine, they were tired. "I want to help." He said while sending this burst of 'Friend' intent through his Grass Energy because he learned how to do that! It was a very cool system of communication with Pokemon, and now? Now, he can exchange intents with Pokemon and roughly know what they are trying to say. He can understand some words from his Pokemon here and there, like Ceberus' "Alpha", Shelly calling him "Boss", Jasper calling him "Bro", and Arachne calling him "Weaver".

Yes, he has many titles.

Upon feeling the Grass energy, the four little Turtwigs moved forward, unafraid, and began to send their own energy as they cried out - Help. "I will." Darius smiled softly before he began to do his thing, Shelly came up to help him, and soon others followed. A few Leavannys also came forward and used [Grassy Terrain] to aid him in his healing. Shelly used her [Life Dew] so he could use it to make the medicine to treat the Torterras' poisoned condition. Soon, a small Turtwig started to glow the little leaf on his head, strongly trying their best as this soft green pollen left their leaf. Darius' eyes narrowed as he soon recognized that move.

It was [Aromatherapy].

A grass type move that, in the games, healed all conditions! "Hey, little guy?" Darius approached it, an idea in mind: "Can you add your little green puff in here?" Darius pointed to the large stone bowl that he was using to make a large quantity of antidotes using a lot of Pecha Berries (berries that heal the Poisoned status in game) alongside Oran Berries and Kebia Berries (Berries that reduce Poison damage if the pokemon is weak against Poison) to try and make a quick working antidote. The little guy walked over to him and began to release this soft green pollen on the viscous liquid that was the medicine Darius was making, and as the little one struggled, Darius decided to try and help. He placed his hand on their little shell and shared his own energy with the little one by using his [Energy Share] skill, the little buddy got surprised and released this burst of green pollen in a splash, turning the previously dark sickly green medicine into a bright vivid green coloration with the sheer amount of pollen he made!

"Hey, you did it!" Darius grinned at the little one before continuing to mix the medicine. He concentrated for a moment before using his skill [Medicine Enchantment].

This was one of his most overpowered skills when it comes to healing Pokemon. He might as well be a hermit druid in the woods that danced with Pokemon and do weird shit. He concentrated as he moved his enormous stick, mixing the medicine well. The portions had to be divided into 1:3:5 with Oran Berries, Pecha Berries, and Kebia Berries due to the look of things. Darius also did a quick scan of them with his [Pokemon Examination] skill to make sure they didn't have internal injuries, and only the Alpha Torterra seemed to have them. He increased the speed of the big guy's recovery just a little bit more by grasping onto the pearl he received from who knows and channeled the energy of 2 charges to push his Grass Energy to the leader Torterra with his [Energy Share] skill, helping him recover about 20% of his lost energy, which surprised the big guy a little bit.

With the help of the Pokemon around him, Darius began applying the medicine on the Torterras' skin and helped them injest some of it too, because for them to make a full recovery, they'd have to spend about one to two and a half weeks here, resting. Whoever did this to them was strong and mean! It was probably a big group of Poison Types or a big Poison Type. "Here, now you need to rest." Darius could see the young ones resting already. They looked beyond exhausted. They looked so bad that Darius wondered what he could do to help them recover and decided on making them a good soup.

Or as best as he could.

Let's see his status?

The Turtwig line is interesting because of its mating habits. 87,5% of all Turtwigs are Male, while the other 12,5% are Female. You'd think there would be a lot of competition amongst Male Turtwigs, Grotles, and Torterras for dominance and the right of mating like in the human world, but this doesn't happen with this Pokemon line. On the contrary, the Female Turtwigs, Grotles, and Torterras devolp a Reverse Harem situation where each Male member of their herd has their turn of mating, in exchange the herd gets more cubs and the Pokemon species is continued! In fact, there are also Male/Male Turtwigs, Grotles, and Torterras matings where two males will get together in a romantic and intimate relationship while waiting for their turn of mating with the female if they so desire, although most of the time they are given the right and duty of taking care of the children of the herd, which they absolutely love to do.

Darius found this fascinating. He observed this behavior in about 3 hours of observing the herd as they ate and were taken care of by him, who under his [Pokemon Care] skill knew exactly how to help them get comfortable. Oh, as the Pokedex says, Some Pokémon are born on a Torterra's back and spend their entire life there. In fact, three and a half hours after they began resting, Darius observed as a few small Pokemon began to leave the Torterras backs.

Darius counted them, and he knew their species - a small family of three Zigzagoons, a small Nincada, and, to his surprise, two small Swablus! There was also a Kecleon, a Starly and two Staravias, a Budew, the God of all Pokemon - a Bidoof, and fucking nine Burmys! Two Plant Cloaks, three Trash Cloaks, and four Sandy Cloaks. At last, and certainly not least, a single small Aipom. Darius approached them all, his mind already making varius notes of how Torterras were also known as the Walking Forest Pokemon by some people, which now he understood why.

They had entire families of Pokemon on their back!
