Traumatized

"Get ready, we might have to fight as soon as we get there." Alex said as the apartment complex came into view. The two brothers picked up their pace a bit and eventually turned into the parking area connected to their home.

The sight before them wasn't exactly a surprising one since they knew a fight was likely to occur, but it seemed like the fight had pretty much ended before they could even arrive.

There was a mangled body on the floor in a pool of blood and a man with a knife in his gut strangling someone on the floor, then there was Jenna, lying on the floor unconscious with her shirt ripped open.

When everything came into view there was a moment where Alex felt his heart skip a beat, he had thought the person being strangled was his mother but he quickly realized it was someone else after he had a chance to process what he was seeing. Though it didn't do much to change how much anger he felt at the sight of his injured mother sprawled out on the floor.
