[Bonus chapter]Someone Like You

Alex limped his way towards the double doors at the entrance to the hospital, that were made of glass, and peered inside. Usually there would be a security guard standing outside the door but today they were nowhere to be seen.

'I don't see mom at the front desk or walking around between rooms. She probably isn't here right now, that or she's busy with something away from this part of the hospital.' Alex adjusted his hood to make sure it was covering his face and put his sunglasses on as well.

He pushed through the front door into the surprisingly quiet reception area and started limping towards the front desk, leaving a trail of blood behind his injured leg. The woman at the reception area saw Alex approaching but her desk was blocking part of Alex's lower body so she didn't notice the trail of blood.
