Tension 2

Matthew and Ryan were silent while looking at Lily. Both were at a loss for words after hearing Lily's words. 

"Why are you guys silent?" Lily asked, looking at Matthew and Ryan.

"You make me feel bad when you two act like this," Lily continued.

Matthew took a deep breath. "I'm sorry. I should have asked you before I said I would take you with me."

"I didn't mean to lie to you either. It's just–" Ryan paused and didn't continue his words. 

Lily looked at Ryan. "I know what you're going to say next. You always try to make me comfortable and don't want me to get hurt. But I can't understand why you would even think about lying to me? I trusted you so much."

Ryan took a deep breath. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to lie to you."

"Then what made you lie to me?" said Lily.

"I—" Ryan sighed as he looked at Lily. 

"You want to say that you love me?" interrupted Lily.
