Chapter 37: The Conversation
Maria's POV
I was in my room counting the ceilings for the hundredth time when I heard a knock on the door.
"It's open," I called out, thinking the housekeeper was. We had fallen into a boring routine.
The only time I spoke with anyone aside from the housekeeper when she came to deliver her food was when sporty spared me some moments to discuss. Tally always ruined the vibes with his moodiness, though. Aside from that, I was not allowed anywhere.
"You've been requested downstairs, miss," Tally stepped in with his snobbish, holier than thou attitude.
I rolled my eyes but leaped for joy inwardly. I honestly thought I would go mad if I had spent one more minute locked up in this room. I quickly followed behind Tally. As soon as my feet stepped outside, I breathed in relief.
"Fresh air finally," I muttered.
"Pardon?" Tally said, stopping.
