One Day Later

The incident with Thor and Goliath had been solved, now only the Spider-Man problem remained.

The only thing Alex would do now is monitor the heroes' Civil War, in case of an unexpected incident.

As for Irene and Psylocke's job, it seems that they found a small mouse that had been monitoring the movements of Mary Jane and May Parker.

Alex just told them to be careful and keep Peter's family from getting hurt.

Psylocke and Irene stare at a man who is watching a small hotel room using binoculars from the building across the street.

That room was rented by Peter Parker using the name of Mary, to use it as a safe place to avoid the public eye.

"Do you think we should take care of him?" Psylocke asked Irene.

"Not yet. That guy is still useful, and although we already read his mind, it would be annoying if the Kingpin looks for other people and becomes more discreet to avoid raising suspicions" Irene answered calmly.

Yes, they already knew about all the Kingpin's moves and were just waiting for all the people involved in this to get together and take advantage of that to finish them all off at once.

And that man who was monitoring May Parker's movements, was already under Psylocke's control and whatever he would report and whatever mission the Kingpin gave him, she would know and take action accordingly.

At that moment when they had lost their thoughts, they saw Peter's arrival at the hotel room.

The one who opened the door was Mary Jane, who ushered him quickly inside.

Just as Peter had arrived, they saw the man who was watching the room taking photos.

And then, he takes out his cell phone and makes a call.

Psylocke closes her eyes and begins to psychically eavesdrop on the conversation by reading the man's mind.

"Sir, our suspicions were correct, the target is staying at a rented hotel under the name of his girlfriend Mary Jane" he said over the phone.

"Keep an eye on that place for a while longer, for now I'll send you help, if that place turns out to be the Spider's permanent home, we'll crush him" a voice said coldly from the other line.

"Understood sir, I'll keep watching" the man calmly replied.

"Keep up the good work and I'll pay you very well" the man on the other line said before ending the call.

The man calmly puts away his cell phone and mutters:

"I'm sorry Spider, this isn't personal, it's just work, I hope you don't hold a grudge against me"

Finishing speaking, he continued to keep an eye on his target unaware that someone had already heard all of his plans and was looking at him indifferently as if he were just a simple pawn.

Psylocke opens her eyes and tells Irene everything that man said through the call.

Irene is silent for a few seconds, lost in thought, and then she says:

"It seems that we underestimated the Kingpin, we thought that once he discovered where Spider-Man is hiding he would attack without problems, but he is very cautious and patient. It seems that he wants to prevent his plans from going wrong"

Psylocke nods at what Irene said.

"That guy is very calculating, the man who spoke from the other line was not the Kingpin but the boss of the man who is watching this place. If there is an incident here, no one will connect it to him" Psylocke said calmly.

That was normal, although this Kingpin was the same as the one from their universe, he from this place had more experience due to the greater number of dangers he has suffered, especially with his own son's affairs.

"Well, there is not much we can do at the moment, let's just keep an eye and wait for them to act first, only then will we help him since Alex wants Spider-Man to learn from this incident" Irene said.

Psylocke doesn't say much, just watches the man's movements.

Seeing the silent Psylocke, Irene asks:

"Is something wrong, Becky?"

"Nothing, it just bothers me that Alex can't take a quiet vacation" Psylocke answered.

"You're right, that right hand of his is really annoying in this kind of situation" Irene said as she thought about Alex's power, or 'Imagine Breaker' as he called it.

Yes, those closest to Alex knew about Alex's strange power, since he told them about it.

But of course, he didn't explain its origin, he just told them that one day he woke up with that power, and he really wasn't lying about that part.

"Without luck... for his power to override that concept some consider superstition, it's unbelievable" Psylocke said with a shrug.

"Well, no Mutant powers work on him, and even powers like Est and Galactus are ineffective so it's not surprising" Irene said with a helpless smile.

"Well, let's not think about it too much, we'll find a solution to that problem. For the time being, let's finish this matter quickly so that we have more time to relax" Psylocke added so Irene wouldn't worry about it.

Irene nodded her head with a smile and continued to look at the man.

They watched for a while longer, before retreating and letting Alexa watch for them while they were gone.

Thus, for the next three days they took turns with Alexa to monitor the man and his partner who had just joined him.

Until the fourth day something different happened, there was a third man but unlike the other two, this man had a different aura and also carried a briefcase.

Psylocke saw, through the eyes of one of the men, that third man pull long-range weapons from that briefcase.

Seeing that, she knew that the Kingpin couldn't hold on anymore and decided to attack.
