"Well, there are still other Constellations who want to get in touch with you, let's try them," Do-gak said while doing something in the air again.
'So, he is using the system panels after all,' Haru wondered to what extent, can a Dokkaebi use the system, well he was going to find that out himself.
"Don't want to," That is why he declined cleaning with a smile.
"What?" Do-gak glared at Haru who simply continued to smile.
"The time for this event is up," Haru had to remind this guy about that, since the time had ended, he should be sent back without any questions.
"That doesn't matter, you need to meet other constellations who want to make an offer to you, and sign a contract with one of them," Do-gak said and Haru tilted his head.
"What would you do if I didn't do that?" Before taunting Do-gak again with an annoying smile.
"You….!!!" Do-gak was about to lose his temper, but someone else came into the room causing him to stop.
[What is happening here?] Paul arrived with his flat expression now that the event was over, he wanted to see how things were progressing here, [Why haven't you gotten him to sign a Contract yet?] but looking at the situation he scowled at Do-gak.
"H-He's refusing to comply…" Do-gak visibly shrank in the face of that reprimand, and there was no way he wouldn't since Paul still had more authority than him.
"You can continue your hierarchy establishment later, send me back first," Haru looked bored at this bullshit, he had more things to do rather than look at this.
[You want to leave?] Paul stopped glaring at Do-gak and turned to look at him.
"What made you think that I want to spend time with you guys?" Haru's smile irked Paul but he didn't get angry.
[So the monkey knows jokes, huh?] Paul smiled as well, because at this moment Haru didn't seem to realize his position.
"Hey now, Don't say stuff like that or you might be canceled," Haru warned but he saw that Paul wasn't listening to him, "well, I told you." so he just shrugged.
[Anyway, you want to go out right?] Paul asked and Haru nodded, he indeed wanted to go out, [Then you will need to sign a contract with the constellations of our choice.]
'He's showing his true colors…'
"I see, so that's your plan," Haru frowned slightly, they were basically forcing him to sign a contract with a constellation since he didn't do it on his own.
The reason for this is that, he had become an unknown force that had tampered with the flow of the scenarios through his actions, there were only two ways for the Dokkaebi management to deal with him.
First, kill him outright, 'But this would get them heavy backlash from the constellations who want me as their incarnation,' Haru had already made a backup plan for this, which was giving constellations a reason to back him up.
Here it was his personal power and the group he had gathered, that was filled with outstanding incarnations that the Constellations wanted.
This is where the second option came in, 'That is putting a leash on me.' This was easier than the first one, and more practical for them.
The Dokkaebis have now set up a stage where Haru has no choice, but to make a contract with a constellation.
'This way they deal with me, and also curry favor with a big-name constellation,' In a way, they were selling him to the highest bidder.
[Don't even think about getting out of here without making a contract,] Paul's mocking tone made Haru look at him, [and before speaking, you should see what will happen to your group down there if you decide to delay it.] he snapped his fingers and a screen appeared in the middle of the room.
[I certainly wouldn't mind if you do though….] It was Bi-hyung's channel, a live broadcast of Haru's group.
[What is happening?] Jin-ah was the first one to question it.
[Why hasn't he come back yet?] Hee-won was next as the unease was clearly shown on her face.
[Hey, you Dokkaebis, don't you know anything?] Ji-hye turned to look at Bi-hyung, as Sang-ah was standing in the back with her eyes closed.
'A few of them are indeed losing their cool,' Haru thought looking at the screen, and then he turned to look at Paul.
"…Who gave you the biggest offer?" He asked after a little pause.
[Ho! Finally understanding your place, are you?] Paul looked ecstatic at the sudden change.
'I knew this would work,' Paul had to go through a lot of trouble just to set this up, the management already seemed dissatisfied with the complaints from some of the constellations, these were the ones who didn't like the lack of difficulty in Seoul Dome.
That is why Paul's suggestion worked nicely, he was able to set this stage under the guise of making things more interesting.
But his true motive was different….
'I'll have you grovel at my feet by the end of this.' And that is why he was not planning on making it easy for Haru, he was planning on using this opportunity.
[A mere slave like you doesn't need to know anything,] Paul spoke coldly, [just shut up and go into that room to continue your conversation.] he needed to show Haru his place, or so his plan was…
"Continue?" But Haru seemed unaffected by this sudden change in tone, "So, the one who paid the highest amount of coins was Noble Child Of The Sun, huh?" in contrast, he smiled.
[You can keep your calm façade going I suppose,] Paul scoffed, [don't make me force you in there.]
"Yeah, do it," Haru said and that seemed enough to enrage Paul.
[What?! Didn't you understand what I just said?!] He really wasn't having any of this.
"I understood you clearly," Haru shrugged and sat down on the couch in the corner of the room, "I will not let you go if you don't make a contract, and I will even force you inside the negotiation room that is what mean, right?"
[If you understand th-]
"And I am telling you to do it," Haru spoke calmly as he cut Paul off, "Just know that I'll tell them about your behavior, and I don't think they will mind doing me a favor or two."
[Y-You…. Do you know the consequences of this?!] Paul on the other hand was not so calm.
"Of course I do, you will keep me here till I sign a contract right?" Haru's voice was still calm, no in a way, "but how long do you think you can get away with that?" he looked into Paul's eyes, "There is a limit to everything, isn't that how you Dokkaebis work with the system?"
'Is this human crazy?' Do-gak shuddered looking at the mocking smile on Haru's face, 'If you really do that, what about your group down there?' only a madman will a risk like that, because Paul might keep Haru here for the entirety of the Scenario.
Worst of all he could kill him as well. But the worst thing was definitely going to happen to the group.
The Disaster they will face isn't something easy, it is the worst of all Disasters, someone that every other Planet tried to avoid but couldn't.
But Haru was not wrong, they could keep him out like this, 'Can we really keep him here for the entire Scenario?' Do-gak looked at his channel which was already filled with inquiries about Haru's absence.
They can probably keep it at bay by promising the Constellations with the fact, that they're doing this to follow through on their promise of making sure that Haru enters a contract with them.
'But there is a limit to everything,' Do-gak was already sweating when he saw how pissed off Paul was, 'If he kills this incarnation off, then we would both be hung.'
Do-gak knew that the Constellations didn't care about the Dokkaebis. Instead, they might even look for reasons to push them off for their own entertainment. And killing a monster Incarnation such as Haru, was a sure way to make that possibility into reality.
"Mr. Paul, there is no need to get worked up over this disrespectful insect," Do-gak tried to appease Paul a little, "I am sure he'll come to his senses…. when he sees a few of his group members die."
