Xiao Yun approached, carrying a hot cup of water, and offered it to Ye Junqing.
"Lord Junqing, take a sip of this water to ease your mind. Miss Ye... she might just be scared. You can't blame her for being terrified when hearing about this kind of thing, especially since she's just a recent college graduate."
Xiao Yun stared at the closed bedroom door, unsure of what to say.
He was disappointed. If this was how Miss Ye reacted, she didn't deserve to stay by Lord Junqing's side.
"This is good." Ye Junqing smiled.
He suppressed the wild uproar inside every cell of his body. It felt like every one of his cells was either a vampire or zombie on a train packed with monsters, ready to break through the window and take a bite out of someone.
"Isn't this normal? I was overthinking..."
He had gotten ahead of himself, misguidedly believing that she would be the same as before - persistent, annoying and impossible to get rid of. But reality slapped him hard in the face.
