Just as Charlotte Cooper, still half-asleep, was starting to wake up, she was held by someone. Despite being wet all over, she didn't feel uncomfortable in Henry Russell's embrace; instead, she strangely craved this warmth.
Seeing that the person in his arms was awake, the coldness in Henry's eyes gradually melted, and he hid his distressed emotions deep within: "Awake? Is there anywhere you still don't feel comfortable?"
Finally, Charlotte regained her senses, coughed weakly a few times, and instantly felt suffocated in her chest. She looked at Henry and shook her head: "Other than feeling some tightness in my chest, I don't feel anything else."
Hearing this, Henry knitted his brows, tightened his arms around Charlotte, and spoke softly, "It's okay. I'll take you to the hospital." and with that, he picked Charlotte up.
