Alora reached the cafe. It's still orangish outside with a hint of pinch pink.
The wind suddenly started blowing heavily. It seemed like a storm would come.
Alora quickly got inside and saw the owner, Mrs. Snow taking a cake out of the oven.
She didn't notice that Alora has arrived. She was decorating the cake with her heart and soul.
Alora kept on looking at the lady in her 60s with wrinkled hands and face. Even at this age, her passion for cake making didn't go away.
The seriousness on her face while making her cake is too precious. It's as if she's afraid that one single mistake and she'll ruin everything. At this moment, the cake seemed to be the most important thing in her life.
But the happiness couldn't be hidden that was crystal clear in her warm brown honey eyes. She was happy with her work. She is doing everything cause she wants to and it's her passion.
After fifteen minutes, Mrs. Snow clapped her hands in happiness.
Her face started glowing with happiness. She looked way younger than her actual age.
"I did it, I did it," she started doing her happy dance.
Alora was afraid that this happy old woman is going to break her bones but she didn't stop her.
She felt happy seeing her happy.
"Why are you so happy, Mrs. Snow?" Alora asked going near that old lady in her 60s who looked like a child in a sugar rush.
"Alora baby, look what I made! Last night I got this idea and started working on it immediately. It turned out exactly like how I wanted to," Mrs. Snow grinned.
Alora looked at the dolphin-shaped cake in front of her. The dolphin-shaped cake was standing in the water-shaped cake.
Blue-colored cake like the ocean wave it was. A dolphin was happily standing on it. As if capturing nature in a cake.
"It's so adorable, Mrs. Snow. I love it. Awww," Alora was mesmerized by the cake's beauty.
"Dolphin is a childlike and free spirit. It shows happiness and youth. It has a friendly nature that draws everyone towards it. A dolphin is innocent and harmless. It shows that no matter your age, you can always choose to be a free, childlike, and wild spirit. You don't have to worry about every little thing," Mrs. Snow placed her hand on top of Alora's head.
Alora looked toward Mrs. Snow with tears in her eyes.
This old childish woman always gets to know what's going inside of her head. She seems like an open book when she's with her.
"You are right as always," Alora said hugging Mrs. Snow.
"Silly girl. Always worrying about things that ain't under her control. Happy birthday, my child," Mrs. Snow chuckled.
"This cake is for me?" Alora asked.
"Of course, Let's cut your cake."
Alora tightly hugged Mrs. Snow.
"Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I will try my best not to make you worried again."
"You living your best life will mean everything to me. Never be afraid of being yourself or taking risks. You only live once."
"Noted captain," Alora saluted her.
"Let's cut the cake now," Mrs. Snow excitedly said.
"Do I have to? I don't want to ruin this beautiful cake."
"This beautiful cake was meant to be cut. It's the fate of this cake and you can't force it. If you don't have it now then it will get ruined in a few days. That will be a total waste," Mrs. Snow said bringing the knife.
Alora nodded her head.
Mrs. Snow lightened up a few candles and handed Alora the knife.
"Make a wish."
Alora closed her eyes and said in her mind," Make everyone around me stay happy. Never make them sad. If there are tears in their eyes then they should be tears of happiness. What's better for me shall find me."
Alora blew the candles and cut the cake.
She made Mrs. Snow have the first bite and then Mrs. Snow made her have a bite.
By now, it has become morning already. As predicted before, a light storm was blowing.
Mrs. Snow went back to making cake and other delicious treats for the customers.
Alora organized the chairs and opened the windows.
The cold breeze hits Alora's face, making a shiver go down her body.
What surprised Alora, is the rain this winter.
Drop by drop, water was falling from the heavy grey clouds. As if the sky was crying down its sorrows.
Alora pulled her hands out and a few drops of water falls on her hands. The cold breeze changed the temperature of her body.
Her body started feeling hot on this cold wintery day. Her nose and hands stayed cold as an ice cube.
Alora smiled and breathed in the smell of rain. The smell of soil spread everywhere, calming down her nerves. It was her favorite smell along with the smell of a new book.
Alora felt drunk in this natural smell. She breathed in as much as possible.
The sound of rain felt like music to her ears.
She started feeling sleepy.
Rain in the winter season is the best combination ever, her favorite one.
Someone tapped on her shoulder. She turned around and saw Mrs. Snow handing her a cup of hot chocolate coffee.
She thanked her saying, " I needed this. Thank you for making my day better."
Mrs. Snow smiled and went back to her work.
Alora started sipping on her hot chocolate coffee enjoying nature. Life felt like thousands of times better to her.
A look of contentment was plastered on her beautiful face, making her look peaceful.
She looked outside and saw a few children enjoying the rain together. They were throwing water at each other, totally forgetting that all of them were getting wet in the rain anyway.
Innocent and carefree children.
Alora chuckled looking at the children's naively attitude.
"Hello, can I get a cup of coffee?" An alluring voice called out.
