When Jocelyn arrived, Eliza had already been sitting for god knows how long. When she saw Jocelyn appear, a trace of grievance appeared on her pretty face.
"Thank god you still remember someone is waiting for you here. We agreed to meet at 9:30 but look at what time it is now! If you don't give me a reasonable explanation, I won't let you off today."
Eliza cracked her knuckles as she spoke.
Looking at Eliza who was about to fly into a fury, Jocelyn quickly walked up and held her arm, smiling fawningly.
"Darling, I didn't mean to be late. Listen to me. My day has been full of ups and downs. It's as exaggerated as the plot in a novel."
"No, I'm much worse off than the novels!"
At the thought of what she had experienced today, Jocelyn sniffed and leaned her head on Eliza's shoulder aggrievedly.
Elize cooled down quite a bit when she saw how sad and depressed her friend was.
