[21.5] First Night Camping

In the middle of the night, I felt as though I was being suffocated. My eyes flung open to see Hazel holding onto me as she slept. Although she looked a bit cute, there was one thing that wasn't.

How is this kid so strong!?!

I feel like I'm being crushed by a bulldozer!!

I tried to push her off of me, but she only held onto me tighter.

Ugh. Whatever.

I closed my eyes to sleep and heard Zephyr, who was sleeping at our feet in his fox form, get kicked off the bed. He mumbled something unintelligible, then climbed back on the bed.

...And plopped down on my face.

This little jerk is going to suffocate me!!!

Ugh. I can't even smack him off because Hazel has me in a stranglehold!!

I shook my face to get him off, but he dug his claws into my skin and refused to get off.

Well…

At least he's in his fox form?

I attempted to close my eyes and accept my uncomfortable position when loud snoring from the other bed rang out.

My eyes snapped open.

F*ck. Me.

Needless to say, I didn't get very good sleep.

…

I shuffled out of the tent to where everyone was having breakfast. I sat next to Felix and Cyrus with a dead look in my eye.

Felix spoke hesitantly, "Did… Did you sleep well?"

I shot him a look, "Between your annoying sister and that gorilla girl, no I did not!!!"

Felix raised an eyebrow, "Gorilla girl?"

"Hazel. She tried to suffocate me last night." I let out a sigh, "I'm sleeping with you two tonight."

Cyrus started choking on his food.

Caldwell hurriedly smacked his back, "Young master!!!"

Cyrus coughed out his food and squealed, "You can't do that!!!"

I smirked, "Why not? You don't want to cuddle?"

He turned red, "W-Who would want that?!?"

I can almost see him thinking about it.

I grinned and started to tickle his side, "You little liar. I can see you considering it!"

He laughed as I continued to tickle him. Finally, he swatted away my hands, "Stop!"

I pulled back with a faint smile, "It's a joke. I'm not actually going to sneak into your tent."

Plus, even though he is a bit cute, he's still a child.

I'm not a creep like Caldwell.

Caldwell shivered from the feeling that someone was bad-mouthing him.

Hazel walked to us still holding Zephyr who was sleeping in his fox form. She beamed, "Well I slept great! Better than I have in years!!!"

I groaned, "Yippee…"

Priscilla soon ran over to Felix and sat so close to him that she was nearly on his lap. Her eyes shimmered, "I've missed you, brother… Did you miss me?"

He smiled to pacify her, "Of course I did. Did you sleep well?"

She nodded quickly, "The bed was a bit uncomfortable and Reika was trying to keep me up for no reason, but other than that it was good."

My eyebrow twitched, "Oi."

She clung to Felix's arm and pouted, "Brother, she was being so mean to poor Hazel. She told us to sleep on the floor! Can you believe it?"

Felix glanced at me cautiously, "Oh? Is that true?"

I took a bite of my meal nonchalantly, "Yeah, but they wouldn't."

Priscilla batted her eyes with a pitiful expression, "Then she tried to keep me up all night by arguing with me."

I paused and looked at her in irritation, "If anyone kept others up last night, it was you with your obnoxious snoring."

"Pfft-" Cyrus covered his mouth as he tried not to laugh aloud.

She flushed red, "I-I don't snore!! How dare you say that!!!"

I took another bite of food, "I didn't sleep at all because of it. It was so strong, I'm sure it shook the whole tent."

She smacked the table in frustration, "Y-You!"

Felix chuckled, "Priscilla… I thought you broke that habit years ago."

Her lower lip trembled as she looked down in embarrassment, "S-She's lying…"

Felix laughed and rubbed her head affectionately, "Reika is a troublemaker, but she wouldn't lie about something small like that."

I stuck out my tongue at her, "Bleh."

She growled and held her fork menacingly.
