The believers are praying so desperately that it is causing a spike in faith. This current spike is as if more than half of his believers have become fanatics. To be exact, it is as if 51% of his believers have reached the highest level of faith possible. 

His believers are so faithful that they are willing to give their all to him including their souls. This kind of dedication and devotion roused his godhood. He had to pay attention. So he stopped messing around to pay attention to the prayers of his believers. It is something he doesn't do often. He did now and his face changed when he saw the content of their prayers.
