That was what Cora told herself but that was difficult to do as Diamond continued leaving encouraging notes for her in the following week as midterms approached. She had a lot going on so she definitely needed them but she wasn't about to admit it. She didn't want to encourage further communication but also didn't want to be rude. It was a fine line to walk.
Then she had to witness a spectacle when two people with the attribute of first touch met while reaching for plastic cutlery in the cafeteria at the same time.
