"Why are you so kind to us all of a sudden?" Evelyn asked. She couldn't understand why he dropped the plan which he has been executing for a year now. He killed her father, lost her uncle, Admiral Wilkin and cursed Elric to attack her and now dropped the plan after all this hard work? 

Warg looked at her, intimidatingly to scare her but looking at her not being affected amazed him.  He raised his one brow and replied, "People do change, Evelyn. So did I." 

"Exactly! The people change, and not ruthless creatures like you," she said in her mind. The vague answer was indigestible. Well, at least she could breathe in relief not thinking much about how he will try to attack her this time. She glanced at the two men with whom she had come. They two held similar expressions, trying to contemplate what Warg was trying to accomplish from this.
