“Did he say or do anything strange?”
Dillon shook his head. “He was quite inquisitive, though.”
Riordan snorted. “A little more than that in my opinion.”
Then he informed Darby about Warren’s words and actions. He also made sure to emphasize on how weird Warren’s gaze toward Dillon was. Darby sighed.
“There’s no news from my parents yet about the council.”
Dillon grabbed Darby’s hand and squeezed it a little. “Understandable. It may take a few days.”
“What if he attacks you and Dan in the middle of the night?”
Riordan snickered. “Not going to be the smartest move on his part. I’m an ancient vampire, and Dillon is one of the most gifted magic users right now.”
“I’ll transform him into a toad,” Dillon added, and Darby burst out laughing.
“I’ll pay good money to watch that.”
Dillon winked. “Great. I’ll throw in some popcorn to sweeten the deal.”
Darby raised both of his thumbs and grinned. “Awesome!”
