Chapter 40

“Michael!?!” Cam exclaimed as she saw her wife crawl through the small opening.

“I thought you were dead!” she cried as the taller woman lowered herself to the floor.

They hugged tightly, clinging to each other.

“That’s what Ortega wanted everyone to think. Alicia and I have been locked away in a prison like this. We finally escaped and came for you,” Michael explained.

“I have missed you so much!” Cam sighed as Michael held her in her arms. Soon they were engulfed in a long, passionate kiss. Cam shuddered as the feeling raced through her. She’d thought she’d lost this! Now, once again, she could sink into the depths of their love. Finally it was Michael who drew back from the embrace.

“We need to get you out of here before the sun comes up. You’ve got to hurry. Is there anything you need to take?”

Cam looked around the room and shook her head. “No, I have everything I need now.” She smiled. “I have you.”
