After the dust settled

"Magistrate Li, Marquis Qiao," Yu Dong greeted the two women who nodded their heads in greeting. The two of them came to a stop next to her and looked down at the people who were lying unconscious on the street. 

"What a tragedy," said Li Wan as she looked at the silent town that had gone through a dark storm. "I knew that Xian Xieren was one crazy woman but I never thought that she would actually join hands with dark cults for the sake of gaining control." 

"She has always been one crazy bitch," sneered Qiao Shao. "That woman even killed her own mother for the sake of getting the throne. What else do you think she will not do?"

Li Wan closed her eyes as if it hurt her painfully to look at what was happening around her. On the other hand, Qiao Shao looked down at the people lying on the street and asked Yu Dong, "Are they dead?"
