Recommendation Exam: Obstacle Race

"STARTTTTT!"

The moment Present Mic shouted for the race to start everyone started running...well not everyone.

Himiko knew that some of the students here were afraid of her and her friends because they have seen what they were capable of.

With everyone a few meters ahead of her that's when she started to make her move, she saw that most of the people here only had quirks that are good but their overall physical abilities are questionable.

Currently, she's up against a person with bird wings, someone producing waves of water and rides it...though seems like he's about to tire himself already, a person with a strength enhancement? And others were mutants so she can't really analyze their strength.

The moment she ran she was already easily catching up to them, though surprisingly they weren't attacking each other but more like waiting for someone.

"Heh...waiting for me even though I gave you a free headstart? hahaha...you'll regret that~!", her voice was loud enough for her fellow racers to hear, and to say they were nervous from their tone was an understatement.

She tensed her leg muscles to have an instant burst of speed, she was now right behind the bird person who was flapping his arms as hard as he could...though he seems retarded or too nervous to just fly higher.

*woosh*

Himiko kicked the ground to get some air and her landing trajectory was just right under the bird person, the moment she landed on the person's back the guy was squawking like a bird due to being startled.

Like the sadistic person, Himiko is, she slowly plucked the feathers under his feathered arms that were responsible for flight...the guy was now freaking out since he couldn't shake Himiko off no matter how he tries, and he can't just crash land since it'll affect him too.

And with one final grab, Himiko plucked a hand full compared to the one-by-one plucking, this effectively brought the birdman down.

The examiners watching this had their jaws dropped while a guy in a red skin-tight suit had a smug smile on his face, 'What on Earth is this? Is this really Vlad's daughter?', the teachers watching in a room filled with screens thought.

Back to Himiko, just before her free ride landed, she used him as a ground and jump from his body which was basically kicking the bird down even harder.

The racers nearby were now immediately wanting to abandon their plan of wanting to gang up on her, though it was too late since they were all close together instead of spaced out.

But soon, some obstacles were now right in front of them, just some simple high rock climbing walls but the base of the ground of a body of water, probably fearing that students would drop from such heights.

Himiko seeing this decided to take the lead easily which made the racers relieved, but this is what Himiko wanted, false hope!

Jumping across the body of water so that she didn't need to swim a short distance, she started her climb but checks her behind from time to time to see where the racers are at.

Surprisingly, the person who could produce water and treat them like waves had a sudden breather when he neared the water, and he too crossed the body of water easily and made his way to the rock-climbing wall.

"Don't be excited now~", Himiko said and from her spot which was already the high ground, she pounced towards the unsuspecting person and dropped kicked him straight to the chest. Effectively taking the air out of him and sent him splashing with the water.

The examinees from other groups are now praying to God that they are thanking him for not letting them paired up with her since they saw her move so light on the foot...as if she's weightless.

Himiko not wanting to waste any more time just climbed not mind the rest since it'll take some time for them to actually climb up.

Making her way through some obstacles all the while dodging some harmless rockets that Robots were sending her way, she easily finished the 3 KM Obstacle Race with there still being 10minutes left to the clock.

After her race, she simply sat back down to the designated area where they were told to wait after their race, all the while ignoring her the looks others were giving her.

Next up was Kaga, she was actually in the same group as Momo so she decided to approach her future classmate, "Long time no see!", Kaga said to Momo.

Kaga and Momo were actually acquaintances...maybe? They just bump into each other when there are events that influential people go to, so they from time to time notice each other but don't interact.

"Ah! It's you, we have always been noticing each other but never really formally introduced ourselves to one another.", Momo said in her casual elegant voice.

"I'll do the honors then, Kaga Asakura, nice to meet you, and just call me Kaga since I prefer it that way~", Kaga said in a laid-back manner as if she isn't going to just enter a race.

"Okay, well, I'm Momo Yaoyorozu, and just call me Momo as well then", Momo matched the vibe that Kaga was going for since it seems Kaga is not one for formalities even though she comes from such a big background.

"Anyway, team up with me, okay? I just want to breeze through this while talking with someone." Kaga immediately threw her offer at Momo to which Momo wasn't bothered by the prospect of it.

"From the videos, your quirk is ice manipulation, right? Well, mines are creation so if you have any ideas, let's make some", Momo wanted to see if Kaga is the type to create strategies or just brute force her way.

"Well, I can brute force my way but it'll be boring, how about this, create a mounted gun with rubber bullets and I'll handle the rest", Momo was quite confused with the plan but decided to just follow through since she has already accepted to team up.

After Momo created the Machine Gun that is loaded with rubber bullets, Kaga made an ice platform and placed the mounted gun behind the platform that is attached to the railings.

With this Momo now had an accurate idea of what Kaga wanted to do and it was just to have fun while they keep the other racers at bay.

The other examinees thought this was unfair but the teachers or proctors didn't say anything since they never stated that teaming up was never allowed, the only rule was to not be lethal and finish the race.

After the waiting and other pointless stuff, the race started and Kaga masterly controlled the ice like a levitating platform while Momo uses the gun and shoots at the students near them.

Kaga purposely chose to not sped since it was quite fun messing with these recommended students after all, and they can't do anything but take the unfairness of it.

*Baratatatat!*

Momo was having fun at potshotting the other people to the chest and carefully not aimed them at the eyes, from time to time the two switched and had fun messing with the students.

'This is one might actually be better than Canon Momo if she knows how to create a gun, better than a metal rod', Kaga thought to herself, and soon after they too reached the finish line unscathed.

Though the people that came after them had small purple bruises like they were riddled with chicken pocks on their arms, the body was hidden but it was easy to tell that it suffered the same fate. Though Recovery Girl was there to heal.

Next was Shoto and Inasa, and surprisingly the no emotion Shoto decided to accept the challenge that the passionate youth kept throwing at him.

Sad to say, Shoto left them in the dust as he propelled himself as he covered his hands and feet with fire, almost acting like a jet.

Inasa only laughed at this and said that this was expected of U.A. that is always filled with talented students.

The teachers watching behind the screens just said in their minds that the monster trio was finally done since their way of doing the test was just so different from others, the two girls picked on the students even though they could finish the race fast at least the boy with the trio was normal...but it showed how talented they are in their quirks.

But the teachers were also able to see more talented students due to the three of them pressuring the students, they saw Momo effectively use a mounted gun with high accuracy commented a fellow, gun-wielding hero.

Then they too noticed a student that softened his surroundings and effectively rendered his other fellow racers stuck in place while he swam to victory. And also the wind user and another one that can detach themselves from their body and easily evaded the attacks from other students.

"Hah...a lot of problem children are within this batch", a guy who could use some sleep commented

"A lot of chapters too!"
