Chapter 14 - Tega

The grip was so firm that Tadashi a user at the Veteran user domain couldn't move an inch.

Tadashi looked up at the face of the person who dared to stop him but his eyes sank at the sight of the person's face.

It is a boy who was dressed in black shirt, a black pair of pants and a black jacket. He also had black bangles on both arms.

The jacket has a hood he used to cover his hair and part of his face so one couldn't see his eyes clearly, the only part visible to the face were his mouth and part of his nose.He was dark fair in complexion.

He was non other than the anomaly, whose User domain non of the kids could guess, the mysterious kid who didn't have any friends and was always alone; Tega.

"That's enough, let him go" Tega said in a calm tone

Many students hadn't heard his voice since the day of his arrival at the school when he had to introduce himself in front of the class. so this was perhaps the second time they were hearing his voice

Tadashi didn't say anything but stood up from the blood puddled nigo who was not yet unconscious to their surprise.

Nigo looked at Tega and said in a weak voice "Thank you"

Tadashi turned round to exit the area, he wasn't foolish enough to confront Tega even though he was still furious. As he approached the crowd they all gave way, no one wanted anything to do with him.

Tega looked at nigo and used a little energy to seal his wounds before saying " You have powerful experts following you, just an order and no one would dare bully you anymore, so why"

Nigo was shocked that Tega talked to him he said "I intend to solve my problems with my own strength"

Tega didn't speak anymore he simply looked at him and disappeared.

Everyone including nigo was shocked by what just happened, he didn't use a movement art but just vanished just as he appeared from no where.

"That guy is a monster" a kid said looking at the spot where Tega was standing on.

"Is he even human?" Another said

Xiao ling looked at how nigo was and then smiled to himself " I wouldn't have gone that far but that prince sure is something else"

"Boss should we do anything" Nelson asked signifying nigo

"No, that is not needed, even zara would not be able to touch the prince. Although, he may have to apologise later if he found out the truth about nigo" He looked at the blood puddled nigo and said " let's go"

They all left and the kids who had gathered started dispersing, no one helped nigo out of fear of what zara would do to them if they were seen with nigo in his current state.

Nigo felt his gaze grew blurry , it continued until he passed out.

United Royal Infirmary

Nigo opened his eyes to see the light of the bulb in the ceiling. He tried to sense any nearby aura and he could only feel one as the light smell of medicine greeted his nostrils.

He raised his hand to touch his face and noticed there were no injuries on his body, he sat up on the bed

"Oh you are awake, that was quick" the angelic voice of senior syl entered his ears, it was now he noticed that it was laced with utility energy. Which meant that senior syl was using a sound art.

He turned to look at where the sound came from and he saw senior syl standing at about three metres away from him.

"Good morning" he greeted her

"How do you feel?"she asked as she was examining his body

"I'm fine" Nigo responded before asking "who brought me here?"

Senior syl looked at him with a puzzled look "who else except zara" she paused before continuing "Though, she left saying she had something she had to attend to"

"Oh, so that's how it is" Nigo said

"What is?" senior syl asked

"Nothing"

Senior syl didn't continue probing any further she sat on the bed next to him and said "sorry about what happened to Ejiro"

Nigo looked at her and said "thanks for your condolences"

"It's just, if I wasn't useless he wouldn't have died" he continued speaking

"It's not your fault" senior syl said, she knew the details of what happened that day and if nigo had gone home earlier along with his protectors, the school would have been destroyed and she would have died.

"It is!" Nigo thundered "he died because of me" he raised his hands up "I killed my friend who I claim to love like a brother with my own hands"

"You didn't, don't blame yourself"

"If I had not told them to play hide and seek with me he'd still be alive by now!"

"If you had gone home earlier the school would have been destroyed, I along with it"

"...." Nigo froze

"Everything has a reason for happening and even your actions brought greater good than evil in the end, you shouldn't blame yourself for whatever happens, if it had been you in his place you would have done the same and if after you sacrifice your life for him he begins to blame himself for your death, would you be happy?"

"..." Nigo was still quiet. Everything senior syl had said were the truth and he couldn't deny them.

Senior syl hugged him and said "you have to leave to the fullest because this life of yours was bought for you through his sacrifice, do what he would want you to do okay?"

Nigo nodded while in her embrace, he had done all ejiro wanted him to do but just couldn't bring himself to use the star flame, he couldn't bear to extinguish the last thing that ejiro left behind for him.

They disengaged their embrace and nigo smiled and said to senior syl "Thank you once again"

"No need for that, you and the rest of your friends are the closest I have been to any student in this school, so why would I not feel your pain and sorrow, don't just let it affect you and besides I'm a doctor, so both mental and physical health are important to me" senior syl said with a beautiful smile on her face.

"Okay, I'll be taking my leave now" Nigo said

"Oh, and one more thing, the school is not how it used to be anymore and everything is now in chaos, so for the sake of your well being, whenever you are not in class or with zara come here immediately! " senior syl said with a serious look on her face, she knew nigo doesn't like depending on the power of others but him staying there won't be depending on her power but just a place of refuge. No one would dare come in there to make trouble.

"Okay, bye" Nigo turned round and left.

Nigo was heading to his class, his classroom was the second of the one thousand five hundred classrooms, they were almost done with their four year term and they were among the oldest in the section and also the most powerful class in terms of user strength. Tega, zara and Tadashi were in the same class as him so, one can imagine the level at which the class was valued.

Ejiro was also a member of the class so they were also the top when it came to intellect.

The class one of the one thousand Five hundred classes were just there because they were older. Though, they had powerful experts as well including a myth no one has ever seen, who could be categorised as an anomaly equivalent to Tega.

People in the class one that they had met said she appears before classes and disappear immediately it's over not one second late or early, despite that no one has ever seen her in the hallway before.

Some didn't believe it, how could a child disappear without trace? No matter how he thought of it, it didn't make sense to him, not until he saw Tega disappear right before him did he begin to think it might be true.

Nigo got to the door of his class and just before he could enter he saw a girl come out of the class, she was a dark skinned girl with pony tails to the side, she has brown eyes and a neutral face. She was clad in an orange gown that has prints of white sunflowers on it.

The moment she saw nigo her face turned to that of irritation

"Get out of the way!" She said and pushed nigo aside with utility energy.

Nigo just stood there because he knew her as one of those people with a good background, one who though she was always aloof around him never dared to voice it out. She was among the top echelons of the class a user at the A -tier of the staff user domain. Her name : lucy

She walked pass him and entered the classroom. Nigo shook his head and wanted to enter again but a voice sounded from behind him

"Why are you late to class?"

Nigo turned to look at the person who just said that. It was his teacher Sir Yuji

The man has a light brown coloured hair and brown eyes, he was wearing a red robe which was the teachers attire, he had a pair of glasses on his eyes. Though his gaze was calm, nigo could see a hint if contempt in his eyes.

Due to the kind of experiences nigo has in life, he could tell a person's disdain for him no matter how they hide it, it was because he had seen it far too many times already.

"Good morning sir Yuji" he said, even though he could see his contempt he still had to follow formalities for fear of punishment.

"I asked why are you late to class" Sir Yuji ignored his greeting

"I was on my way to class when I encountered bullies sir and I ended up in the infirmary"

"Excuses!!" Sir Yuji thundered "All those are excuses, you have always been unserious when it came to school, if it wasn't for your friends who dragged you to class everyday I'm sure you won't be in class right now"

Nigo didn't say a word he just stood there looking at his teacher. He knew the man was looking for a way to scold him when he was supposed to be punishing the culprits. All this was due to the absence of the section elder.

"You haven't been in school for the past fifteen days and I have not had trouble, if you don't want to come stay in your house besides you're a cripple, I sill wonder what you are doing in this school" Sir Yuji said

"Get into class and head to your seat!"

Nigo entered the class and went to his seat.

Classes were over and school had ended for that day but nigo hadn't seen zara throughout, he was walking through the hall way looking for her when he suddenly saw an approaching figure.

The figure was zara and she was heading for him.

"Long time no see zara" Nigo said in a friendly tone

"Come on, it's just been fifteen days it's not that long, right" zara said in response

"How have you been doing, how are you coping?" Nigo asked with a look of concern on his face.

"I'm fine, I returned to school three days after the incident" she said observing him

"Guess I worried for no reason" Nigo said with a smile, his first genuine smile since Ejiro's death

"I thought you'd have used it by now but you didn't" zara said

Nigo knowing she was refering to the star flames said "I don't plan to use it"

To his surprise zara didn't ask him why,she only nodded and said "My father acquired a quality portion of it so I am currently using it to train and evolve, so you won't be seeing me around often anymore. We just finished a section so I took a break to come and see you"

"That's nice, I don't know when my dad would be back but once he returns I would ask him to acquire some for me. I want to get stronger" Nigo said with determination

Zara seeing the look on his face smiled and said "Due to the calamity that befell the continent, only a small portion of the flames were obtained from the star meteorites."

"Why?" Nigo asked

"Before they could handle the abnormal star meteorite and return to the border a large portion of it had already burnt out" she explained

"Oh" Nigo said while nodding his head

"So if you plan to obtain a flame you have to be quick because it may runout before he returns, at that point the only option would be the one left behind by ejiro" she said

Nigo pondered for a while before saying "In that case, I will tell granny chi to give my dad a call and tell him to contact the Flame emperor to make reservations"

"Hmmmm.... that could work but don't forget if you don't awaken your Liaison core before the term runs out you would be kicked out of school" she said

Nigo thought for a moment "When you are heading for Ejiro's burial can you stop by my house?"

"You should know you don't need to remind me of that but I would be staying at the school training grounds because of the Flame purification usage, so I'll be going there from school" she said

"Okay, I hope you increase your strength by leaps and bounds" Nigo said

"I will, I have to" she said with determination "Alright, I have to get going now. Remember to stay out of trouble" zara said

"I will" Nigo said in response

Zara turned round and left back to where she had come from.
