193. Inflict A Curse

Meanwhile in the arena of the Chūnin-exam being held.

Rori, along with Hiiro and Yuki Onna already took care of the ninjas from Otogakure and Sunagakure. Though there were still some ninjas who hadn't been taken care of as they tried to get away from Rori when they saw how scary Rori was. Some of them even escaped as quickly as they could.

The ninjas from Konohagakure were also horrified by Rori. With such strength, the ninja from Konohagakure thought that the Kaiyougakure village had ulterior motives. However, with the people from Kaiyougakure village who looked serious about helping to protect the Konohagakure village from enemies, they got rid of those negative thoughts.

If Izumi could hear their thoughts, he would have immediately sneered. With the strength and abilities of all members in the chat group, they didn't really need to ally with Konoha with the pretext that they needed their protection since Konohagakure was not as strong as it was in the old time. Rori's curse could affect one's soul. If no one could dispel the curse, the person affected by the curse would suffer excruciating pain as long as they live, and even if they were dead and revived by something like magic or other things, the curse was still remaining within the soul of the people inflicted by it.

Rori remembered that Izumi had said the Hokage would use a Jutsu that sacrificed his life, and his soul would not go to the afterlife but was trapped in that Jutsu. Rori then guessed that the Hokage had used the Jutsu mentioned by Izumi.

Feeling that the timing was right, Rori turned to Hiiro and said something to him. Hiiro nodded and wrote down the Word Magic.

With the light emanating from the magic hitting the barrier, cracks appeared. Rori immediately swung her halberd toward the barrier. The cracked barrier couldn't withstand the force of the attack and shattered into pieces instantly.

The four of Orochimaru's henchmen vomited blood from the backlash caused by the shattered barrier they had created. Looking at that opportunity, the Anbu from Konohagakure made a move to catch them.

The four of them felt the situation was not really good, their aura immediately changed as their chakra and physical capabilities increased drastically. They started to fight back with their desperate move as they started to use the power of the Curse Mark.

The Anbu didn't intend to kill them since the Anbu would get a lot of information regarding Orochimaru if the Anbu could catch them. So they didn't fight with all their strength. However, what they did was a mistake. It was as if the Anbu underestimated the four of Orochimaru's henchmen. The only woman of those four used her illusion Jutsu using the soundwave which immediately froze their movements. Then the other three began to attack with all their might.

With such a surprise attack, the Anbu didn't have time to react and could only receive the attacks helplessly. The Anbu took quite a lot of damage from their attacks.

Rori who looked from the side smirked. She couldn't be affected by such a low-level illusion, even Hiiro already had his countermeasure against that illusion. The hard work of Orochimaru's men deserves to be appreciated because, with this, no one else would see what Rori would do.

After those four defeated the Anbu, Rori immediately took action. With just a move, one person was decapitated. And she did exactly four times to kill all of them.

She glanced in a certain direction, her mouth curled up, however she did nothing as she just slowly walked toward where Orochimaru was.

From afar, Rori could hear Orochimaru cursing the Hokage who was about to die. Orochimaru just stood with his limped hands. In front of him, there was someone who was still standing using only his willpower, that person was Hiruzen, the Third Hokage. There was also the Monkey King, Enma, the supposedly summoned beast of Hiruzen.

While walking toward them, she let out a chuckle and said.

"Ufufufu, how unsightly you've become, snake brat."

Of course, what Rori meant was Orochimaru. With a hoarse voice, Orochimaru replied.

"You!! If I'm not wrong, you're one of the people from that new village? And you even dared to call me a brat."

Orochimaru wasn't sure how to deal with her in this situation. According to Kabuto's information, the girl in front of him wasn't an ordinary girl at all. And Orochimaru knew that since he could feel her strength somehow.

Although her appearance looked like a 13 to a 14-year-old little girl, it was weird if she had too much strength. He wasn't sure how old Rori was by looking at her appearance alone.

Then Rori recited an incantation with her left hand. A black glow emerged from her left hand and flew to Orochimaru. The glow disappeared as soon as it touch Orochimaru's body.

"What did you... Ahhhh... Ahhhh, pain, it's so painful..." Orochimaru suddenly writhed in agony. Rori cast the curse on Orochimaru which could affect his soul. If he didn't have the means to get rid of that, then he would feel the pain forever. Even if he wanted to die, he couldn't do that since the curse prevented him from doing so. Unless someone killed him.

"Ufufufu, I won't kill you, you can feel this pain forever as long as you live." Then Rori turned to Hiruzen after saying to Orochimaru. "You don't have a problem with that, do you, Hokage-chan? I believe you don't like your student being killed in front of you... Do you?"

The weakened Hiruzen couldn't help but smile, he moved his lips without making a sound, and it could be seen that he was thanking Rori.

It was undeniable that Orochimaru was his favorite student because of how talented he was. But he failed to make Orochimaru take the right path. As a result, what he did was just the ambition to destroy the Konohagakure village.

"Tsk, you're too soft. Well, it's not my problem anyway."

Rori sensed the presence of someone familiar. The person was wearing clothes like Anbu. Rori took out something from her storage space, then immediately stabbed Orochimaru using the thing she took out earlier. After that, she attacked Orochimaru using the pole of her halberd and sent him flying toward that Anbu. Well, as for that Anbu identity, who else if not Kabuto secretly wanted to save Orochimaru?

Kabuto immediately caught Orochimaru who had been blasted away by Rori. His hands moved quickly to form hand seals that made the two of them disappear.

After a while, Hiruzen breathed his last. The Monkey King who was his summons also disappeared along with Hiruzen's death. Even with his death, his expression smiling peacefully irked Rori as she already knew Hiruzen's dark story.
