181. Jiraiya's Teaching

Three days later.

During those times, Naruto continued to train under Jiraiya's tutelage. Initially, Naruto was pretty good when he summoned Gamakichi, an orange toad as big as a volleyball. Gamakichi is the eldest son of Gamabunta, the toad boss. Gamakichi's skin color is also similar to Gamabunta, but in contrast to Gamakichi which is as big as a volleyball, while Gamabunta's size is comparable to that of a Tailed Beast.

When Naruto managed to summon Gamakichi, Jiraiya felt that was good enough. But he asked Naruto to perform Kuchiyose no Jutsu again.

Alas, instead of getting better, the toad that Naruto summoned got smaller and smaller. Naruto even summoned the tadpole before Naruto ran out of chakra.

Jiraiya didn't know what to do. Only this time did he get a weird disciple. Izumi himself laughed at what Naruto had done.

"Sigh, I can't compare if this kid is talented or stupid. Sometimes, Naruto looks unexpectedly talented, but suddenly turns stupid." Jiraiya complained while looking at Naruto who fainted from running out of chakra.

After meeting with Izumi and his group, Jiraiya became more familiar with them. Although he did not understand why the village where Izumi came from allied with Konohagakure. Seeing that Izumi and others were sincerely friends with Naruto, which had a special identity, Jiraiya became more open with them.

"Why not try something crueler? When he was in a critical situation like life and death. Maybe something surprising will happen."

Jiraiya began to say something which made Naruto willing to get training that could even kill him. Although at that time Naruto had doubted whether his decision was correct or not.

Hearing Naruto who was willing, Jiraiya slightly put on a bitter smile. Feeling that Naruto could die because of his training, he invited Naruto to eat by treating him, invited to a hot spring, etc.

While the two were spending time together, Izumi looked for Sasuke. He wanted to see how Sasuke's training had been for these three days.

Arriving there, he saw Sasuke who was training his physique with weights on his arms and ankles. There was no special training for Sasuke right now because Kakashi thought it was better to raise Sasuke's physical strength.

A few hours later, he sensed an enormous strength in Naruto's direction. It seemed Naruto had succeeded in summoning Gamabunta, so he rushed to Naruto's location.

After arriving at the location, Izumi was surprised to see such an enormous size of Gamabunta. He felt a significant difference when he saw it in person rather than in the anime.

Gamabunta was seen making a riot in the forest which made Jiraiya hide behind the trees since Gamabunta was looking for Jiraiya angrily.

Suddenly, Gamabunta sensed Izumi's presence and immediately jumped at him.

"WTF!"

Izumi was surprised, then he took a few steps back.

*boom*

Dust is scattered everywhere as Gamabunta landed right in front of Izumi and looked at him with a sharp toad gaze. Naruto had seen Izumi, who then said.

"Hehehe, how is it...Izumi? I...managed to summon...the strongest..."

Before he finished speaking, Naruto was exhausted and passed out while he was still on Gamabunta's head.

Naruto slipped and fell off Gamabunta's head, and Izumi prepared to catch him. But Gamabunta caught Naruto with his tongue. At that moment, Jiraiya emerged from the bushes and informed that Naruto had a contract with Mount Myouboku as he showed the contract scroll.

"I already knew, I was just testing him earlier." Gamabunta said while smoking using his pipe. Then, he continued to speak.

"So, who is this brat over here?" Gamabunta pointed at Izumi using his pipe.

"Just someone from another village who happened to be taking the Chūnin exam and saw a giant toad raging on the outskirts of the village." Izumi replied calmly without changing his expression in the slightest.

"You're brave enough to say that in front of me."

"Well, he's one of the people Naruto gets along with, even though he's from another village."

With Jiraiya's little explanation, Gamabunta didn't say anything about Izumi. Then he said,

"Then I'll go back. Tell that kid, don't summon me so casually!"

After that, Gamabunta disappeared from his place which made Jiraiya a little relieved considering Gamabunta was a high-tempered type.

Two days later.

Naruto woke up in the hospital a little panicked because he missed his training. And then, he rushed to look for Jiraiya.

At a certain place.

Jiraiya was somewhere on the outskirts of the village and was guiding Izumi. At first, Izumi wanted to be taught various kinds of Fuinjutsus. However, he didn't have a good reason why he wanted to use Fuinjutsu. In the end, he asked Jiraiya to be taught how to unseal Fuuinjutsu. He reasoned so that he could protect himself when he was caught in a Fuinjutsu, just like what Orochimaru did to Naruto.

Two days later, Izumi managed to master the way to unseal a Fuinjutsu, Jiraiya sensed Izumi's potential if he used a Fuinjutsu. So without Izumi asking, Jiraiya was willing to teach Izumi some Fuuinjutsu which surprised Izumi himself.

"Why are you teaching me Fuinjutsus? I didn't ask."

"You know? You're not the only person from outside Konoha I've taught." Jiraiya answered without looking at Izumi. Izumi knew that he meant Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato. Then Jiraiya continued.

"I don't know where they are now. I hope they're all right."

"Too bad old man. Those people you are looking for will become your enemies and will kill you later." Izumi couldn't say anything other than Jiraiya had to see with his own eyes. Therefore Izumi did not comment on Jiraiya's words.

"I saw that you had potential, so I tried to teach you something for the future of this world."

Jiraiya had never seen Izumi's abilities, but he believed that the future depended on young talent like him along with Naruto whose potential was already seen after summoning Gamabunta.

"Ahhh, that's not fair. Why are you teaching Izumi, perverted hermit?"

"Teaching a kid or two doesn't make any difference, right? Moreover, you were engrossed in sleeping for two days." Jiraiya responded to Naruto's annoyance who had just arrived, or it could be said that he just found the location of Jiraiya and Izumi.

Izumi curled up his mouth and said to Naruto.

"By the way, I saw that Sasuke received special and rigorous training from Kakashi so that he could practice a new Ninjutsu."

"What??? Perverted hermit, I also want to be taught a new Jutsu!" Naruto immediately approached Jiraiya and said in front of him. Jiraiya clutched Naruto's head as he said.

"You are impatient, besides, you are also rude toward the old man."

Naruto tried to release Jiraiya's grip, but he couldn't, until Jiraiya let him go. Then he asked.

"Moreover, who is Sasuke you mentioned?" Although Jiraiya already heard a little about Sasuke, he still asked.

"He is Uchiha Sasuke. Anyway, I don't want to lose to him."

Jiraiya furrowed his brow when he heard Uchiha. When he heard about the rivalry between Naruto and Sasuke. It was as if he recalled the legend of Hashirama and Madara. But then, he shook his head.

"There's no way Naruto is suited to use Senjutsu, right?"

His gaze turned to Naruto as he said.

"Is he stronger than you?"

"Yeah, he is a genius." Naruto nodded in confirmation.

Hearing Naruto's answer, Jiraiya was thinking about his youth when he tried to compete with Orochimaru who was called a genius. When he saw Naruto's face he was reminded of Minato's appearance as the two of them had a resemblance. This made Jiraiya want to teach a Jutsu to Naruto.

After that, Jiraiya demonstrated the Rasengan to Naruto, then explained about the Rasengan, how to form it, control its chakra, etc.
