The School Massacre 5

"Have you gone nuts?" Makie got angry but she tried not to shout. "What do you mean you have to go out?"

"Yeah, it's almost suicide to try and get through those people. They will kill you in an instant!" Takeshi had spoken up too.

"How do you think I got here?" Raiden asked.

They didn't have an answer but it was something they all wanted to ask Raiden from the very start.

"How?" Chido asked in a shivering voice.

"It is the same reason you all survived."

They did not understand what Raiden was saying.

"What do you mean?" Makie asked.

"The only reason you guys survived was because you didn't move at all!"

"Why does it matter if we stay still or not?" Takeshi asked.

"The reason is they are blind."

"Huh?"

They were confused.

"Stop joking around, Raiden. How can it be that they all are blind?" Makie was desperate to know the reasoning.

"I don't know how this might be possible but it is. I was in that corridor and all of them just went by me. Now, how do you explain that, Maki?"

"I-I-I.. I don't know."

"Yeah, of course, you don't. It was so bizarre, even though I don't have a correct explanation for it. But all I know is that, for some goddamn reason, they are blind. And, you all have to believe in me on it."

"I believe in you, Raiden," a shivering voice said.

Raiden smiled and said, "Thanks, Chido."

Chido was scared but he was trying his best to keep up with Raiden and the others.

"Okay, let's say I believe it too, that they are blind but it doesn't change the fact that it's still very dangerous out there. You might have survived by luck last time but it might not be the same this time," Makie said. "It's just too risky, Raiden. Why can't you understand it?

"There is something I have to do. And, if I'm late I might regret it later," Raiden said, with a serious look on his face that Makie thought it would be impossible to change Raiden's mind now.

But she wasn't gonna give up this early, so she tried to force Raiden not to go even more. "I don't know whatever this important thing of yours is but it can wait after the cops arrive here," she said. "Just wait here until cops arrive and you can go do whatever you want."

"I don't think cops will be coming here," Takeshi said.

"Huh? Stop saying negative things, Takeshi, for god's sakes," Makie said.

"It's not negative, it's just something I feel like. If the cops were coming, they wouldn't take this much time to show up."

"Takeshi is correct," Raiden said. "When I was up on the roof, I saw these people coming from the outside. And, they weren't just coming here but also going around the whole area. Means the things which are going on inside our school, they are also happening outside too."

"No way!" Makie got even more worried.

"So, no help will be coming. Means we are doomed here," Chido again started crying.

"No Chido, as long I'm here, I won't let anyone lay a finger on you guys! We all will escape the school, together," Raiden said with determination and a smile on his face, which gave Chido some courage.

"Yeah, I agree, no point in just sitting here, we have to escape somehow," Takeshi said.

"Have you guys gone nuts? There nothing awaits you but death from out of here. Escaping the school? That's bullshit! We will be just giving an invitation to our death if we leave this room," Makie said out of desperation.

"Maki, even if it means inviting my death, I will go! My mom is alone at home and if these people are really going around the neighborhood then I will go so that I can protect her. I won't get scared like the last time," Takeshi said, he was determined to go too.

"I will go too!" Chido spoke up, he had stopped crying. "I will go and protect my little brother."

"Chido, even you?" Makie was left alone in the group in terms of their determination.

"So it's decided," Raiden said. "We will be leaving now and get the hell out of this school." Raiden looked at Makie and said, "Maki, if you want to, you can come with us or you can wait here for help, but we are not stopping."

Makie was frustrated, "You all saying things like protecting your family and all but you know? Without me, you won't be able to survive out there. So, yes, I will go with your bunch."

Takeshi and Chido became happy.

"And, Raiden, I told you to stop calling me Maki," Makie said in anger while showing her fist punch to Raiden.

"Alright! Alright!" Raiden said while backing off.

A little bit of laughter burst inside that classroom after all those horrible events. They were happy because they were alive and together.

They all showed resolve to go out and face their death because they were not alone. Even Chido wasn't crying now and was ready to move out.

Makie was ready to go too but she had no resolve instead she didn't want to be alone. She was afraid to be alone and decided it would be better to move with the group instead of being alone.

"Let's go, guys!" Raiden said, "To the storage building."

"Wait- Wait- Wait. Why the storage building? It's literally at the opposite side from the school's exit," Makie asked.

"Didn't I tell you before? I'm looking for someone. And, it's most likely they are in the storage building."

"But, it's dangerous to even go out of this room, and let's say we manage to reach the bottom floor, you are staying we will go the opposite direction from the exit? No, I don't wanna get trapped in this school again." Makie said in desperation.

"If that's the case then we will be together till the bottom floor and go to our separate destination afterwards," Raiden said.

"If that's what you want, Raiden, I have no problems," Takeshi said. "You are fine with this too right? Maki?"

"Oof, I don't care about that guy anymore, he can go and die alone if he wants. I'm ready to go as long as we will directly be getting out of this school."

"Well it's settled then," Takeshi said. "Let's go. Raiden, Chido, and Maki, let's get out of this school."

Raiden and Chido nodded, Makie was still being a little stubborn but she nodded too.

All four of them stood up and were ready to make their way out of the classroom.
