Chance of heaven

"Do you think she'll go to hell for what she did?" Minerva asked.

"She's a poor soul, how could she have known that her death would be because of that? Kiel, what do you think?" Lucas asked.

Kiel shook his head, "It's still not suicide, so maybe purgatory?"

"Hmmm… talking about purgatory, do you know that Archangel Samael will be going through tribulation this time?" Lucas said.

"Why? What did he do?" Minerva asked.

"He rejected the goddess of beauty I heard, but the god of thunder saw them in a compromising position, so now he has been charged with the cardinal sin of lust." Lucas explained.

"Huh? Samael would never even touch a woman, so how could he do that? Anyway, what happened next?"

"He was judged and as punishment, he will have to live 3 lifetimes living a celibate life. He will be given 5 chances and if he fails the mission, his wings will be taken away from him and he shall never enter the gates of heaven again." Lucas explained.

"Oh? Isn't that too easy? I mean, Samael lived his life that way for centuries, so what is 3 lifetimes? The judges of the heavens are showing favoritism as usual. Then again, they must believe that he was innocent."

Kael's eyes shone, "Ha! Samael is too lofty, and I want to see him get punished and never enter heaven again. Wonder what he will do when that happens? He tore my right wing, so I hope they tear both his wings!"

"Indeed, I hate him too. He's too arrogant. Anyway, some of the gods thought so too, so I heard that the venue will be the purgatory, and the makeshift world they will be sending him into are based on fiction where he will be some mortal soul." Lucas explained.

"Hmm… Samael as a mortal soul? Then maybe the gods will send him some seductress to make him fail his mission. So, what does that have to do with us?"

"Well, the thing is, they can't. the gods can't intervene. So… I don't know if you're thinking what I'm thinking…."

"No matter, let's just send this girl and let her fend for herself. I mean, at least she gets the chance to go to heaven and even be given Samael's wings if she manages to make him fail." Kael finalized.

"alright, let's do that. I'm so excited to watch everything unfold."

Finally, the one in the middle cleared his throat. "Michelle Dy, place your hands on the middle of your chest for the weighing of the heart."

Michelle was nervous, what if she gets sent to hell? However, she knew that she can't do anything about it, so she followed.

The scale which weighs her heart tilted back and forth, and she was afraid that if it tilts more to the red side, she will go to hell. Then, it stopped in the middle.

"Michelle, your soul should go to the purgatory where you will only see endless nights for you to contemplate about yourself and one day all your memories will be gone, and your soul shall cease to exist. Are you willing?" Minerva asked.

Michelle of course was not willing. But what can she do?

"However, you Michelle, have been a good person all her life, so we decided to help you redeem yourself." Lucas said.

Michelle felt that there was hope, so she finally got herself some courage to talk, "Then, please tell me, what should I do?"

"Have you ever heard of transmigration?" Kael asked.

Michelle's eyes widened. Were they going to make her transmigrate? That's fantastic! "Yes, I do…"

"Good. Then we shall give you this chance. We will be sending your soul to 5 worlds of novels and your mission in each is to find Archangel Samael, seduce him and make him fall in love with you, whichever comes first. you will be given 5 chances and you must succeed in at least 3. If you succeed, your soul will go to heaven, if you fail, your soul will go to hell." Kael explained.

Michelle turned excited. Really? That's it? That would be fantastic! It's like a reward instead. She will be able to experience a man finally!
