Chapter 68

As soon as Alex came out of the shower, a little more sober, Brigitte was downstairs, waiting for him on one of the sofas. She motioned for him to sit beside her, patting the furniture.

"Alex, I want to know now what the hell is on your mind!" She spoke harshly.

"What are you talking about?" he asked, not raising his voice.

"Camilla!"

He sighed.

"She betrayed me. Either with another man or with the sale of a very important project to the enemy company."

"Do you have proof? I do not believe that."

Alex got up, went to the office and took what he'd shown Camilla herself months before. After that day, he himself hadn't had the courage to look at those papers again. He held it out to his grandmother.

"Is this serious?" she asked in disbelief.

"Yes…she betrayed me like this fo-"

"Did you sleep with her and didn't know her body?" Brigitte interrupted him.

"What?" He asked.
