The Victory Road

The next day, Bel and Cheren headed to the Opelucid City gym as Touya advanced towards the pokemon league.

It was early and quite cold, and after going through 8 doors, each one more epic than the last and representing each gymnasium, Touya finally reached Victoria Road.

More than a road, it was a large mountain with a slight mist surrounding it and many paths in sight to enter and exit the mountain and as well as always, there were broken bridges with which Touya once again questioned the safety of being a trainer.

"It's obvious that I'm going to get lost, but it doesn't matter! I have to be on the right track sometime it's statistics" Touya said quite confidently as he entered the first underground route.

And yep, Touya got lost, but hey he did it with self-confidence and knowing it wasn't going to work out, so it's a win.

Touya walked between different caves with some underground lagoons and found quite strong pokemon like Boldores quite resistant as well as some quite aggressive giant ants of light gray color (Durant).

At one point, there was no other way to go, so Touya left by one of the roads that led out of the mountain and just when he was going to re-enter when he didn't find anything, he heard a somewhat distant voice.

"Good! The way to move on Victoria Road is going down through the mountain un this way, you just have to balance your body and slide down" said a man dressed in a raincoat explaining to a boy who seemed quite nervous.

The man slid down the mountain from above until he reached Touya without scratching himself.

"Now you try it!" the man said to the boy who seemed to be trembling with fear.

"Y-you are crazy! How am I supposed to do something like that? I doubt a trainer has ever been through something like that!" the young man said as his legs trembled and in complete denial.

"Puff, rookie" Touya said like a war veteran and then slid down the hill and walked into another underground path.

"See, surely that boy has already gone through all the traumas of a trainer" said the man pointing in Touya's direction.

"I-I think I prefer another profession" said the young man a little shocked and scared by the lack of interest of the trainers for their safety.

Touya kept walking through Victoria Road and meeting quite strong trainers, which he overcame without much difficulty.

On his way he found several things like the TM dragon claw and wild charge, in addition to the occasional gold nugget in lower places of the mountain and that his pokemon also learned some movements when fighting with trainers.

Suddenly, Touya heard something in the distance while several pokemon went in the opposite direction a little scared.

*Pam**Pam**Pam*

The sound was like some kind of loud knocks that echoed throughout the cave increasing Touya's curiosity.

Touya approached while the sound got louder and louder, until he found the cause of all this.

At first glance he looked quite similar to that Deino that Touya saw in the Opelucid city gym, but when he got closer Touya could see that he had noticeable differences.

First of all, he had two heads, as well as thin wings and a larger body about five feet tall, but for some strange reason one of his heads was hitting the wall with the head while biting at the air, causing the wall to have several cracks.

"Zweilous!" said the other head hitting the second as he pointed to another path.

"Zweilous!" said the second head in disagreement trying to bite the first without any success.

Like Deino, his hair covered the eyes of both heads, which were apparently guided by sounds.

Touya felt a little sorry for this, after all it only takes a little cut of his hair and he won't have so many problems so he calmly approached Zweilous while his heads were still distracted in their dispute.

Being close enough to him, Zweilous became aware of his presence due to his great hearing and began to bite the air in his direction to no avail.

Touya moved to the side and took two berries out of his bag and then tossed them into both of Zweilous' mouths.

Zweilous was pleasantly surprised to find a good taste after biting into the air without success for so long as both heads chewed happily.

Touya approached and put his hand on the first head which was on the left and seemed the most intelligent, to then place his hand under the emo bangs and lift it up, revealing his eyes.

And there, Touya could understand in a certain way why that trainer did not do it.

Zweilous had blood red eyes that even seemed to glow and radiated aggression making Touya freak out a bit.

"Zweilous!" Zweilous said, annoyed at being interrupted while he was eating but also somewhat impressed at being able to see.

Still, Zweilous charged a dragon pulse towards Touya with both heads causing Touya to move away to dodge the attack.

"Zweilous" Zweilous said a little sad and annoyed at not being able to see again.

Touya pulled Samurott out of his pokeball as silently as possible and beckoned him to imply that he would cut Zweilous's hair while Zweilous was distracted looking for Touya.

Samurott understood the message and used one of his swords very carefully and then cut Zweilous's hair with a fury cutter causing both heads to be impressed by being able to see clearly and causing his eyes to sparkle with excitement.

"Enjoy your view my buddy, try not to make too much fuss though" Touya said returning Samurott to his pokeball and saying goodbye to him with his cap and a smile.

Both of Zweilous' heads looked in the direction Touya left with surprise and gratitude and then looked around with curiosity.

Touya for his part continued his way through Victoria Road although a little lost by the detour with Zweilous.

Although he didn't quite know where the true path was, Touya seemed to be moving forward as he continued down the hills.

After several laps and knowing various paths, Touya already had the correct route after going down another hill, but was interrupted by a familiar sound.

"Zweilous!" Zweilous said gliding from the top of the mountain towards Touya.

"Huh? Where did that noise come from?" Touya said looking around and then looking up and being rammed by Zweilous.

"Zweil Zweilous" Zweilous said while he was on Touya, his left head was rubbing affectionately against him and his right head bit his arm as weakly as possible.

"Hey, you can't do that, not everyone would take very well when a dragon is thrown over them, besides that hurts" Touya said with a small smile as the left head rubbed against his face and he complained with the right head.

"Zwei" said the right head a little down as he stopped biting Touya and Zweilous got off of him

"Don't worry, it's not that bad" Touya said as he sat down in front of him and patted his right head.

The right head seemed to enjoy this as he wagged his tail and happily closed his eyes.

"I didn't think you were so adorable, and tell me, what are you doing here?" Touya asked Zweilous as he looked at him expectantly.

"Zwei" said the left head and then put the head in Touya's bag and take out a pokeball with his mouth.

"Do you want me to capture you?" Touya asked surprised as he took the pokeball.

"Zweilous" said both heads as they nodded in agreement.

"Well, touch the button in the middle, any opinion is always welcome" Touya said as he put the pokeball in front of Zweilous.

"Zweil" said Zweilous nodding happily and then touching the pokeball with both noses.

The pokeball caught Zweilous but this time it didn't move, it was a perfect catch.

"Wow, apparently he really wanted to be part of the team" Touya said surprised and then pulled Zweilous out of the pokeball from him.

"Zweilous!" Zweilous said happily as he flapped his tail and wings excitedly.

"Welcome to the team buddy, if you need something just say so" Touya said with a calm smile.

Touya scanned Zweilous with his Pokedex to register him and learn basic information about him as well as his current movements.

Upon scanning him, Touya was quite surprised as according to the Pokedex Zweilous was female.

"That explains why you are more affectionate and expressive than my other classmates" Touya said as he crouched in front of her and looked at Zweilous with a small smile.

"Zweilo" Zweilous said happily as she rubbed against Touya again.

"Well, we have to go to the league, although it would be best to train a little with you first" Touya said and then got up and was followed by Zweilous.
