Rosa was taken aback by the words. “But you helped me without me asking a lot of times.”

She was leaning back enough to notice his expression.

“That is because you would not stop rushing into things and I did not want anyone to die in the camp.” Tom laughed out loud at the expression Rosa made. He patted the back of her head as Rosa frowned.

“You just said they are like me in temper and rush into things. How is this any different? Why don’t you help them?” Rosa pointed at the cadets.

“It is not about helping them. It is about the attitude. While you can take things differently, cause the Empire’s culture is like that. However, for the people of Ecruh things might not be the same. On their first day, the assistant commander said that they would not accept any special treatment.” Tom sighed.
