Chapter 95: Anticlimactic Battle

After Gideon got our of mind and Susan's way we easily reached Tony and Pepper.

"Tony, good to see you again my friend." I said to him.

"Yeah, you to Victor." He replied.

"Pepper, you're looking great." Susan spoke to her.

"Same to you Susan." Pepper replied. Looking Susan up and down. "I still can't believe you look this good. Did you really have kids?"

"I did." Susan said. "And don't worry I'm sure after you and Tony have a couple of kids you can still look as beautiful as you do right now." She spoke.

Tony choking on his drink when he heard this.

Meanwhile Pepper started blushing up a storm.

But before either one of them could say anything in response the court jester of the CEO's appeared.

Justin Hammer.

Seeing him I resisted the urge to snap his neck.

Since just by breathing the same air as this man I can feel my intelligence lowering.

"Hey, hey, what's this? Oh, looks like we got a little party going on over here." Justine spoke.

Putting himself right in the middle of our group.

"Tony always good to see you. Pepper looking as lovely as ever." He said to the couple. Justin then turned in mine and Susan's direction. But before the blonde gremlin could utter a single word I pushed a telepathic suggestion into his head.

"Ah, you know what I got to go. Sorry, I just remembered I got to send my ex wife her alimony check." He spoke.

But Justin didn't.

I could see he already paid his ex wife her money this month.

Though I'm going to do her a favor and make sure she gets a little more.

Since anyone who can put up with being married to Hammer for any amount of time has my respect.

His words spoken Justin ran off.

When he did I made my move on Tony.

"Well that was strange, but then again Hammer always seemed a few circuits short of a motherboard." I said. I then walked up to Tony and wrapped my arm around his shoulder. "Well how about you ladies talk amongst yourselves. While Tony and I discuss some business." I said.

Then before anyone could retort I pulled Tony away with me.

I then dragged him to an empty balcony.

"Wow Victor. I'm flattered. Really. But we both have significant others. What will they say about this? Not to mention your not my type."

At Tony's words I gave him a deadpan look. "Haha, very funny." I dryly spooke. I then put a serious expression on my face. "But this is not the time for jokes Tony. Unless you think just letting yourself die is funny."

"What, I'm not-"

-"Stark, don't insult my intelligence." I interrupted him. "We both know how Palladium affects the human body. In fact I'm honestly surprised you weren't affected earlier by it. Considering how long you've had the reactor in your chest." I spoke.

"From the scans JARVIS has done on me he told me the Palladium has been building up over time, and that the doses were so minute he couldn't notice them before." Tony replied.

Now wearing a resign and fearful expression on his face.

"Hey Stark, what's with that look?" I asked him. "You're not dead yet. And your not going to be. Did you forget who you're talking to? With the technology we have available in Latveria I have no doubt we can easily find a cure for your health issues. Not to mention you have other allies as well. Like Yinsen. Oh and did you suddenly forget the mothef of your child invented a serum that allows biological organisms to repair and rebuild themselves? Listen Stark, you've got people around you that can and are willing to help you. So stop trying to solve this yourself and fucking ask for help. Especially since you've got people who love you and are counting on you. Rhodey, Pepper, and Ruri." I spoke.

When I did the light and fire returned to Tony's eyes.

"You, you're right Victor." He said.

"I know I am." I replied.

The two of us then shared a laugh.

"But seriously Tony, don't just quit on life. Also you need to tell the people in good life what's going on."

"Okay. Okay." Tony replied. "I will. But can if wait until after the Grand Prix?"

"Sure. But if you don't tell them after that I will." I spoke.

"Sure." He replied.

Once he did the two of us went back inside and found Susan and Pepper.

Thr four of us then mingled until we were interrupted by Tony snd People new "assistant" Bobbi.

Which makes sense.

Given that Natasha is working for me. Fury needed someone else to keep an eye on Tony.

And Bobbi is a very competent and loyal agent.

Who also happens to be married to Clint Barton/Hawkeye in this reality.

Though he doesn't look anything like Jeremy Renner.

No instead the Hawkeye of this reality looks exactly like he did in the mainstream comcis. Tall, blonde hair, and blue eyes.

But although he looks like Hawkeye from the mainstream comcis my research has found his personality is that of his MCU and Ultimate/Earth-1610 Universe counterparts.

Meaning he is a family man.

Clint and Bobbi having already started a family.

Yeah, they've got a couple of kids living on the same farm the Barton's lived on in the MCU.

This reality just keep surprising me everyday.

Anyway.

After Bobbi interrupted us we all went our separate ways.

Susan and I going to a private booth we had rented to watch the Grand Prix.

Arriving, we were met my Doombots, and the person I had chosen to head mine and Susan's security detail while we were here in Monaco.

John Shepard.

The Spartan who lead the team that rescued Tony and Yinsen in Afghanistan, and from the reports I've read in regards to him has been constant excelling in all tasks given to him.

But I wouldn't except anything less from the man who bares the names of two of the best military-style videogame characters in existence.

What makes it even crazier is that I didn't even pick John name for him.

Well I pick his first name, like I did for all the Spartans.

Naming him after Master Chief, since he was the 117th Spartan.

But in regards to their last names I allowed the Spartans to chose their own, if they wanted.

John did, and so John Shepard the Spartan was born.

Upon seeing us the 6'7", black haired and grey eyed, man saluted Susan and I.

"My king and queen." He spoke.

"Shepard." I replied to him.

When I did he opened the door to the booth.

Susan and I entering it.

Where even more of our security detail awaited.

But we paid time no mind and took our seats at the front of the booth.

A few moments after we did the Grand Prix began.

Then about 30 minutes after it did Ivan Vanko showed up.

Once he did he started attacking everything around him.

The fool.

If he wanted revenge on Tony and his family I can think of 20 more subtler and better ways to get it.

But I guess just because someone is smart doesn't mean they have common senses.

Reed being a prime example.

"Excuse me for a moment." I said.

I then stood up and made my way out of the booth.

Two Doombots, and John following me.

Not even asking me any questions.

Since they knew exactly what I was about to do.

In no time at all my group arrived at the track.

When we did I didn't hesitate and walked toward Ivan, who was attacking Tony, Pepper, and Happy, the latter two trying to get the armor Tony had brought with him to him.

However there was no need for that.

Raising my hands I fired off blasts of electricical energy at Ivan, bringing the man to his knees.

Then before he could make another move I got in close and gave him a roundhouse kick to the head.

Sending him planting into the ground.

Ending the battle.

After I did Tony came up to me.

"Well, that was anticlimactic." He said.

"Of course. For a man of this caliber is no challenge to me." I spoke.

He really wasn't in the slightest.
