First Lesson

Eldred looked at Alexis with awe. "You can teach me? I would be really happy if you could teach me how to control my fire. This is the very reason why my father hates me, he thinks I am a bad omen. He says that he doesn't even want to see my face because it pains him."

However, Alexis guessed why her grandfather was saying that. She knew that her grandmother had left her husband and son. And maybe that was why her grandfather was holding a grudge. And as Eldred was the constant reminder of Alexis's grandmother, her grandfather must have hated his son. 

"Don't believe what your father says to you. You are not a bad omen. He just doesn't know how to appreciate your uniqueness." Alexis caressed Eldred's face and said, "You are a very special one. Always keep that in mind. You are the only one on this whole planet with this power, so don't let anyone say otherwise, not even your own father. He doesn't have the right to belittle you."
