Hard Task

Veni could not believe his ears -- the queen asking to see that wizard of the Red Kingdom. The same wizard who was the person that tried to stop them from leaving the Red kingdom. The same wizard who he heard had even tried to harm the prince through magic. It was one of the reasons Veni could not understand why the queen would want to see him -- after all that had happened between them. He could remember that day it all happened like it was yesterday. Veni could not believe that the queen wanted to see that same person.

It was as if Veni had not heard properly as he was tempted to ask what the queen had said again --but he dared not.

"Th-the wizard?" Veni stuttered.

Ruby nodded. She had expected the reaction that Veni was giving now. But no one could understand what she was going through. Ruby was aware that people around her wanted Seth away but she had become so fond of him and was beginning to think that she was actually falling in love with him.
